bell sound very clear and lovely sound. it is classic bike bell people will turn around quicker than crane bell i have attached to my brompton.this is my second bell i would buy again if current one break.

Loud, friendly, smart looking - and that's just the bell... what's not to like?

Every time I ride my bike, I think to myself, I must review this bell. It had so much going for it. It's well finished, looks the part, and should have been just fine. The Allen Key fitting is good too, as it makes it less easy to steal. But then come the foibles, of which there are a good few. Before you fit the bell, it works fine. But once it's tightened, it loses resonance. When you pull the 'trigger', instead of a shrill 'drrrrring', it emits a dampened 'drrrrrrrrrr'. Then, as if to frustrate the rider further, every time the bike goes over a bump, the bell 'chings' quite happily, much to the surprise/annoyance of pedestrians and other cyclists. The only way to prevent this is to dampen the bell with one's finger, which is not ideal. So, on balance, this bell is not fit for purpose. Which is a pity, because it could have been so good.

My theory is that people are more agreeable to a traditional bell sound rung in advance. And more likely to make space. Which is why I chose this bell. Good quality easy to fit and basically a loud traditional bell sound. That’s about it!
