In the 1960s, Walter Mischel was exploring the connection between willpower, habit, and it's impact on the life of a person. As a Stanford professor, Mischel set out to perform a series of psychological tests and studies. So He and His team began to run these experiments on hundreds of young children - most of them, being 4 or 5 year olds. What he found was, the ones that could delay the gratification of eating the marshmallow immediately - were over all more successful in every area of their life. The impact of the study was hugely successful in the area of human behavior. So much so, that it has been deemed one of the first memes. Get your very own "don't eat the marshmallow" shirt today.
