Thoroughly charming grumpy and sunshiny holiday romance!
Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey was the exact story I didn't even know I needed, and I already am in desperate need to devour it again!Stella and Aiden are PERFECTION! Seriously. Major SWOONING. Lots of sighs and dreamy smiles. A perfect weekend read and delicious avenue for escapism.Stella is a bit of a grouch, very understandably so, having had some tough experiences, and not knowing any other way to protect herself, even if that puts a damper on her finding her feet, from chasing her dreams, from being able to blossom into the person she was always meant to be.Aiden is EVERYTHING. Charming, caring, giving, and dirty and rough in exactly the ways it matters most! He's always trying to please everyone else, kind of forgetting to take care of himself, and meet his own needs in the process. Then he runs into his future, and all stops are pulled out to make things go exactly as they should. This story had me on tenterhooks, had me get all emotional, the good kind, and put a smile on my face, loving the chemistry that sizzles and simmered, and thoroughly enjoying the whole cast of characters.I absolutely recommend this story; it is a brilliant pick me up of a read that will put you in a good mood for sure! Also, it is always acceptable to read a holiday read!P. S. I matching robes love this story!

Window Shopping
Window Shopping is the latest, festive, read from Tessa Bailey. The story follows main characters Stella and Aiden. This story is a little bit different in regards the second chance aspect where Stella is given a second chance even though she has a dubious past and a criminal record. Aiden gives Stella a chance to dress a window at his families department store on 5th Avenue.Aiden is definitely a sunshine, sweet hero to Stella’s more hesitant character. The chemistry and attraction between them is so obvious from the start and although Aiden was perhaps a little too sweet for me he was able to show Stella his more dominant side. This is a shortish, cozy Christmassy read and was giving me all of those vicarious New York thrills. There’s a nod to the pandemic in this book. I’ve wondered how authors are going to deal with this going forward - ignore it and let us live in our fictional pandemic free world or embrace the new normal and write it into their story. Having worked in the health service throughout the pandemic I’m super happy with the former however, there are hints at social distancing and mask wearing but more of a tip of the hat instead of labouring the point, squarely setting the story in a relatable world.

Well... This was very disappointing.I absolutely loved "It happened one summer" (I completely recommend this one!) and I was so excited to read a Christmas romance by Tessa Bailey. However, this wasn't good.I did not care for the 2 main characters, the insta-love was horrible. I usually don't mind when the characters fall in love quickly or are attracted to each other from the beginning, but this was just... bizarre? The boss (I don't remember his name... that says a lot!) was weirdly obsessed with Stella and their whole dynamic didn't work.Overall: a very bland book.

Loved this book!
I loved this book. The characters were so likeable and the romance between them was so sweet! The spice was top notch too. I did feel like the ending was slightly rushed and I wanted a little more backstory on her parents and her friend, it kind of just wrapped up a little too quickly and neatly. But overall I give it 5 stars because I absolutely loved it And it’s exactly what I wanted!

This book was absolutely brilliant. I loved both characters and related a lot to Aiden :’) Will definitely reread next Christmas.
