This is a perfect little EDC knife that is as practical as a folding knife but much better for hard use. No pivot and the handle is more slip-resistant.The sheath is terrible though. Same awful secure-ex sheath that is the weakness of a lot of cold steel products. The sheaths are fiberglass-filled nylon so they dull the knife if you aren't extremely careful sliding it in and out of the sheath. I bought an aftermarket Kydex sheath online for this knife and the sheath was cheaper than it would cost to buy the material to make it myself. Now this is a perfect pocket fixed blade or even small and light enough for neck carry. Also good for a lot of camp and kitchen tasks. Cooking tasks are best with a knife like this that is easy to clean. Nothing more gross than getting food crud in the nooks and crannies of your folding knife. This is worth every penny even if you end up buying a better sheath.

The listing clearly states the knife is made from 3v steel. The knife I was sent was made from AUS10. I purchased this knife as "used" and reduced price. It wasn't used. Only an opened package. Possibly a listing issue. Had my heart set on a 3v model. For now I'll keep the aus10 and wait on a 3v. Other than that, I like the compact design. The handle is comfortable. Easy to clean, no nooks and crannies for junk to hide in. Perfect design for the minimalist that doesn't want the extra weight of a folder or larger fixed blade.

I have huge hands and I really want to love this knife. Unfortunately it really is just a little too small for me so it's not seeing much use, like it's the smallest fixed blade knife I've ever owned. That said I decided to keep it because it's really well made and would be a great lightweight backup knife in a hiking pack if you did something stupid and broke your main knife. I've never been a cold steel guy but this has definitely made me want to check out some of their larger outdoor fixed blade knives like the full size Pendleton and Master Hunter.

Of course it's a no-no at 3V price.I have both and while CPM3-V does outstanding for "toughness" the AUS-10 has a couple of advantages over 3V. Yes it does. Check out the U-tube and such steel review.COLD STEEL will make it right I'm sure, either in swap or about $30!

Love cold steel blades, own over 200 of them. This particular one is a great size and grip. Sheath isn't bad either. The reason for the one star review is false advertising. It is listed as a Pendleton mini hunter with 3V blade steel. See photo...it's AUS10. Not a bad blade steel, but not what I bought. Box and blade both state AUS10. Amazon information says 3V
