Legend of Zelda Hylian Wooden Replica Shield

Fast (but expensive) shipping. Perfect for my son's seventh birthday because he wants to grow up to be Link. Lol. Detail is decent enough that it looks as good on the wall as decoration and in "battle."But the paint didn't seem like it would hold after getting bashed with swords in battle, so we coated it with some kind of clear liquid-plastic-like sealant we got from home depot. but I have no idea what it was called. I just asked the dude what would work.The only problem is that we are still trying to work out a way for him to put it on his back like in the game so he doesn't have to carry it all the time like on Halloween and and at Comic Con when he gets to go for his first time. But we have some time so I hope to figure something out. If anyone has any Ideas, please email [email protected] and put shield on the back in the subject line. thanks

Its great. After reading some of the reviews I was honestly worried. But its perfectly fine! The paint job is airbrush, but its not bad.Bear in mind that this wooden shield is flat with paint. The metal one has lots of depth and dimension to it so it looks wayyy cooler than this wooden one. After seeing someone with the metal I want the metal one now...A little heavier than I expected, but I guess that's mostly the metal handle on the back. A little small too- 17 inches in height.After a day of walking around with this there were a couple of chips in the paint. And I pretty much just walked around in a crowd, it's not like I was banging it to defend myself from deku nuts. LOL. Since its not too durable I don't know if this would be a good to get for kids.

Got this in the mail today and i was super excited to open. However when I opened it i saw a big scratch on the sheild. I'm not sure who is responsible for the damage but I'm not happy that my brand new sheild already had a noticeable mark on it. Also the paint doesn't seem to be painted on evenly and parts are blotchy. Lastly I'm VERY upset that this sheild is made to be held LEFT handed when Link is left handed and holds his sheild on the RIGHT. I should have been paying more attention to the picture but that does not excuse the creation of a faulty replica. Other than these few things I like the sheild and look forward to cosplay with it this weekend.

This is a decently painted wooden shield. I got it for a 10 year-old boy's costume, so I appreciate the quality for the price.The weight is good, makes him feel like he's holding a real shield. Unfortunately, the grip is placed so that you can only hold it with your left hand, which is inaccurate (Link is left handed and holds his shield with his right hand).The paint job is okay, but not great. I will probably be doing touch ups on it when it gets bumped and scratched during use.Overall it's a good shield.

My 5-year-old son is an avid Zelda fan and just had to have an authentic shield for his Halloween costume. I chose this one based on price and reviews, and I am happy with it. Some of the paint was scratched when we received it, but I'm sure my son will be hard on it so it didn't really bother me. It is heavy so I'm not sure how long he will be willing to carry it. I like the included chain for wall hanging and the hand and arm straps.

Well made item. The paint job on the front is off but I didn't buy this shield for a house decoration. If I wanted that I would make sure to get the embossed emblems on the front. I bought this for my 11 year old son for Halloween. It arrived Super fast and he was grinning ear to ear with it. It is solid and functional. Light weight and looks great. Again the red paint is slightly off so it doesn't look IMMACULATE, but for the price and the reason I bought it....It's perfect!

I know it's a little wooden sword, but I dunno know, I guess I expected more. There was a bit of wood damage on one of the corners but the box was kind of crushed on that side so it likely occurred from the package courier. It arrived quickly and my son enjoys it. The paint job is okay but not very clean, you can see uneven spots in the paint and some bleeding in some areas between colors. It's fine for my son who will mostly use it for Halloween later this year, but I think a true collector would rather pass on this.

I bought it for my 7 year old son since he's a huge Zelda fan. It arrived with a huge scratch on it and I was told I would have to pay to ship it back. Since it would've been more of a hassle than what it was worth I decided to keep it since it wasn't for display anyway.
