Bought one to stay at Grammy's house and another one for grandchild's house one year later, by request please. Yes, this does come folded into 1/4's which is the only thing I don't like about this rug. It would be better if it came packaged rolled. But the creases do eventually lay flat. If you have a room with no carpet it works better and kind of grips the floor so the creases will then begin to calm down and go flat. One carpet came with almost no creases and the other had more especially in one corner it was bumped out stretched, but both are flat now. I store it rolled up with inner roll card board from wrapping paper placed around the outside to help keep it upright against a corner. You can roll it and just push it under the couch or bed and it will stay nice, crease free. Grandchild always has it out for play daily. It is great to play with rice, rocks, pasta, anything your imagination brings for trucks to haul. It's easy to clean and has a smooth surface not like carpet. It has a variety of sites for play, train station, airport, gas station, construction site, raceway, farm with animals, train tracks. Bright lay out with good roads for hot wheels cars or trucks etc. It is well loved in our family and used daily. It has held up great!

This is a mat not a rug. The variety of scenes are perfect for all my 2-4 year old grandsons' vehicles. The design, size, and coloring (a little darker than pictured) are great. What would make it perfect? NO FOLD BUMPS AND LINES. Mine was delivered folded, with no packaging or labels of any kind, and just placed unprotected in the box with several other ordered items. I laid out flat and placed heavy books on the worst bumps. I hoped that will solve the problem as the design is so good. It didn't. Ironing did help enough so there are now no distinct ridges...enough to keep the mat.I do wonder, with all the complaints about the fold bumps/lines, why is the mat not simply rolled from the start? It would be such a simple solution the manufacturer or Amazon could implement. Otherwise, this would likely be a 5 star rating.

I just got the play mat I ordered for my grand son! It's is a good heavy rubber and lays flat on the ground. The top surface is a soft material. I am really happy with it so far. I am sure he will use it for a really long time. It's not a carpet material though. But I am ok with that!

I am very impressed with this rug. It is heavier and bigger than I expected! The printing is beautiful! Very nice and sturdy! Totally worth the money! I can't wait for Christmas!

Nice mat. Thin but heavy. Works great on the wood floors. Does have fold marks like other reviews say, but flatten enough that they don't bother my son. Road size is perfect for hot wheel cars. Would be nice if there was building that was a hospital or a school. Cute design overall. We prefer this over the carpet one we had.

One of my 2 year old's favorite gifts! He plays with it daily. It encourages creativity and requires no batteries, only imagination.

Looks so great, like a small town. This is a birthday present for a special 4 years old boy,hope he will love it.

When spread out on the floor, the fold wrinkles would not come out. Kids don't need 'speed bumps" on a track like this. This is why I returned it.
