I feel so strongly about this product that I am actually leaving my first one! And it's going to be a LONG one...so if you're brave enough and you've got the time...strap in and continue reading.This is by far, the BEST deodorant I have found! I spent many years (and many dollars) on regular deodorants/antiperspirants and they just stopped working for me. I started noticing that the bad armpit smell was coming through the deodorant smell. The mixture of the bad smell with the scent of the deodorant, made me cringe. I hated how I smelled. It bothered me so much...it was actually stressing me out (which probably didn't help the smell). I would try cleaning my underarms and reapplying, but that didn't work. Also, the antiperspirant was always so difficult to wash off. I decided to try natural deodorants, for multiple reasons. I wanted to start integrating more natural products into my lifestyle to be healthier, I had read articles saying that the harsh chemicals in typical antiperspirants can be harmful and they weren't working for me anyway. So I thought I'd try the natural way. I bought my first natural deodorant (I don't remember the brand at this point in time), but was sorely disappointed. It DID NOT WORK! I thought to myself...well maybe it's just that one. So I bought another one and it didn't work. This continued on for months, even years. I spent so much money trying different ones, until I decided to search on Amazon based on higher customer reviews. I landed on a couple of different ones that I decided to try. Funkless was one of them and I was extremely pleasantly surprised that it ACTUALLY WORKS! I almost didn't buy it because I thought it was a bit expensive for deodorant...but then I switched my frame of thought. I realized how much money I wasted on cheaper products because I had to keep trying different ones. I also wasted a lot of time and went through a lot of frustration. It just wasn't worth it. Spending more on a product that actually works for me...was worth it. No more bad smell, no more harsh chemicals, it isn't hard to wash off, the smell is mild and pleasant (in my opinion), but what I personally like even more...is that the smell fades after a very short while, almost immediately. So even if you don't care for the scent right out of the jar...keep in mind, it dissipates quickly. I tend to get sick of smells after a short while and they end up annoying me...so having a deodorant that doesn't end up wafting smell up my nose all day and makes my underarms smell like nothing...really appeals to me. It isn't just masking the smell, it's preventing it. I get through the whole day without starting to smell. I also happen to like the cute glass jar it comes in (you can reuse or recycle it easily) and I think the name "Funkless" is amusing and spot on. Those points are just icing on the cake for me. I honestly can't say enough good things about this product, but I think that this review is getting to be long enough. So I'll wrap it up. If you are anything like me...I would HIGHLY recommend trying this deodorant. If you are just coming off of an unnatural deodorant, it may take a little time for your body to adjust and for this one to work, but give it some time. I realize for whatever reason...not every product works for everyone. I know that I've certainly tried my fair share of products with great reviews from other people and they haven't worked for me. The best advice I can give, is to try it yourself and see if it works for you. As long as it isn't going to break the bank...it's worth a shot. I hope if you do try it...that it ends up working as well for you, as it does for me.Whew! However, it made me break out in a bright red itchy and painful rash. I think the essential oils are too strong for my underarm skin. I did receive this when we had hot weather, and I think it separated during shipping. I need to lightly heat and stir this and see if maybe I was getting too much of the essential oils in the application. It has taken weeks to heal my underarms, so I'm not in a hurry to test my theory. This might work for someone else, but it's not working with my body chemistry. I live in Maine and Naples. Fl ,where a deodorant is really tested for its' claims. I am happy to say that I have found my forever deodorant. A half dime size is enough to keep one odor-free and confident all day.
