ORIGBELIE External CD DVD Drive, USB 3.0 & 4 USB Ports & 2 TF/SD Card Slots

I was going to get a portable DVD player, but thought I try this option 1st. Glad I did, this is a nice budget tech for your wallet. Meaning for the price it definitely a good deal. Works perfectly & you don’t have to pay an arm & a leg. Love how slim it is, doesn’t take up a lot of space. Like how the cord tucks up underneath for better storage, not to mention this way you don’t loose the cord. Also like the cloth case it comes with to keep it protected from scratches & dust when not in use. Playback is great, easy to use controls. Also, you can adjust the speaker so if your own computer speaker is not loud enough, you can just turn it up through the player. The player itself is very quiet running, barely any noise. So you don’t have to worry about that noise over powering the movie or music you’re enjoying. Seems to be a pretty durably made. Easy setup, I just plugged in & played automatically after loading a disc. I have a MacBook Pro, no issues whatsoever. They do give you directions on how to eject your disk, depending on what type of laptop you may own. Also comes with an extra power cord for the device itself, so if you needed extra power to run the device because your laptop is low power. If you need more power, the light will blink. I have watched 4 DVDs, & listened to 1 cd so far. I would recommend this device 100%.

This external DVD drive works exactly as expected. It was plug and play with my laptop, and I was able to read and burn CDs and DVDs without any issues. It's lightweight, quiet, and easy to carry in my laptop bag. The USB-C and USB 3.0 compatibility is very convenient. Great value for the price, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs an external optical drive.

Since HP feels it no longer necessary to include a CD-ROM with their computers, I got this so I can transfer some of my old CD's to the computer. It's very user-friendly and easy to use. It's very compact, lightweight, and quiet. The unit is very sleek and thin, so be prepared when you go to load a disc in the tray. I'm always afraid of breaking it, so I try to be extra careful. It works very well for ripping CD's to the computer or even just listening to them. My only complaint is that some discs it glitches trying to read them. For example, my Bowling for Soup Greatest Hits CD has 10 tracks, and for whatever reason, this thing reads it as having 35 tracks. I've tried using different software and even trying to open it within the device itself, and it reads it the same way no matter what. So it's either an issue with the unit itself or a problem with how some of the CD's are coded. I haven't figured out a way around it, so just be advised if you're going to buy this unit.

Drive performs as expected. USB hub works well also. There is a small triangle displaying an LED light show which does nothing, it is a cycle of slow & fast flashing light, which at first I thought was connected to data transfer speed. It is not, the useless blinking light continues even when no disc or USB drive is connected. Other than the LED, I am quite happy with this purchase. Shipping was speedy (with Prime).

Good buy, for the time being. I bought this right before Christmas, but recently it's been having problems reading the DVDs I put in. I have tried both the USB and the USB-C port and I can't get anything out of it. When I first got it, it was extremely easy to use. Just plugged it in my laptop and it would play. But about 20 DVDs later, it can't read a thing. I have been trying for the last 30 minutes to get it to read this one specific DVD (also while typing this review) and when I keep trying to manually spin it then put it in, it sounds like it hits something on the top of the unit. I'm worried it's scratching my DVD. While I'm writing a review of it, I should also mention that the compatibility is all over the place. It works with my Windows 10 laptop and my Windows 11 PC, but when i tried to plug it in to my girlfriend's Windows 11 laptop, the computer acted as if nothing was plugged in entirely. Not to mention, over the past few months, it's gotten increasingly louder as if something is falling apart in there and needs extra power to even work correctly. All in all, this is a great product, I just wish it lasted for more than 4 months.

I purchased this external disc drive for my laptop, which doesn't have a built-in CD/DVD drive, and it has worked perfectly from day one. I purchased a MINISFORUM MiniPC UM780 XTX, with ORIGBELIE External CD DVD Drive, on 7 February 2024 and am extremely happy with both. Bought the top-of-the-line UM780 which is superfast to startup/sleep/shutdown/reboot, load programs and files, WiFi access the Internet, process data, WITH plenty of FAST STORAGE and RAM, open/save/close/work between any/many files/types, beautiful screen redraws/multiple windows, access/backup to my 2TB Toshiba Canvio external drive, never pauses in its synchronisation of data to my OneDrive account in the cloud... lots of ports and plugin options, such a sweet PC! And with a new HDMI cable, it lets my aging monitor display like new again (next on my list to update, then run both!). The ORIGBELIE is an excellent choice for external portable CD/DVD drive-burner/USB hub for the odd bit of current (and older) media access, with another bunch of modern ports/options too. Slimline, well made, quiet, fast, smooth running/opening/closing and so dependable. I also love the colour-changing graphic tiger face on my MINISFORUM MiniPC UM780 XTX. Why not! A cute modern take on friendly, personable technology. Price: well, what an absolute bargain for everything this smart little beast does so fast, so easily, so well. Both items through Amazon Australia were easy to buy, track, securely collect from my choice of suburban delivery lockers nearby, and well packaged for transport!
