Nutcracker Hardcover – Picture Book, September 13, 2016

My husband and I decided to do a Christmas countdown (like an Advent calendar) with small gifts and activities for our daughter. She is 2-1/2 and loves books, so we decided to do 12 days of books. We picked this for one of them and it is gorgeous. So far, it is easily her favorite. Upon seeing the text, we thought her attention might wander, but she patiently listens to the entire thing each time. She wants to read it every night, too!The illustrations are very detailed and colorful. I'm picky about illustrations in children's book (I have no idea how I developed such a preference), but I think this is adorable. I would highly recommend it.Update on 12/20/19: My daughter still loves this book! I would say we read it or she "reads" it once a month at least, and I saw her 20-month-old sister looking through it yesterday. So, I'm still standing by this purchase. :)

Bought this book specifically because they use the name "Clara" and because she is illustrated with brown hair and eyes (just like my niece). This was the only book I could find like that and it's perfect! The illustrations are some of the best I have seen and the story is perfect. The book is a good size and every page is so detailed. Very happy with this find.

I’m an elementary music teacher, and I teach a unit on the Nutcracker ballet to 3rd graders each year. I’ve been looking for a beautiful picture book to read in class. I took a chance on this one, and I’m so glad I did! It’s beautiful, and large enough for a class to see. It took me about 8 minutes to read aloud to my daughters and they loved it!

Sanna Annukka is the reason I bought this book. She's one of my favorite artists! The cloth cover is great and like the thicker pages. I like the size and how many words per page. My toddlers like to sit and listen to me read these books to them.

My Grandson always loved The Nutcracker. As he is now 14, anything child specific would be insulting.When I saw this version, I knew it was perfect. As I myself am a book collector, it was Perfection!

This book is a great version of the Nutcracker with beautiful illustrations. The text is simply enough for young kids to understand. However; I do think it is a very abbreviated version of the story. The basics are covered but wish they put a little more into it.

My daughter's name is Clara, and this was one of the few editions I could find with her name. The illustrations are beautiful too, it was such a lovely gift for her first Christmas, and will become part of our family tradition for years to come!

Il libro è in condizioni perfette, chiaramente nuovo. Le pagine sono di buona qualità, non fragili al tocco, e la copertina è bella solida, senza difetti nei dettagli.L'unico problema è lo sticker con il condice a barre sul retro, si è staccato molto facilmente, di questo non mi lamento affatto, ma immagino sia stato lì un bel po' di tempo perché ha lasciato dietro del residuo adesivo che non sono riuscita a togliere in nessun modo. Non è appiccicoso, ma è brutto a vedersi e tentare di rimuoverlo senza rovinare il tessuto della copertina sembra impossibile.

I bought this copy of 'The Nutcracker' for a relative who doesn't read German. It's a nice little book that also comprises 'The Sandman' and 'The Mines at Falun'. I remember reading all three E.T.A. Hoffmann stories when I was studying German at university. They left a lasting impression on me ... ... ...
