Despite its deceptive softness, this product will support even full-front designs on fleece as well as lighter knits with light to moderate stitch count designs. Because it's made of top-quality materials using the wet-laid nondirectional process, only one layer is needed. This product is easy to use. Once you've cut the appropriate size, it is hooped to the wrong side of the garment and sewn. Then securely rip off the excess edges.

Too heavy and stiff for my needs...
This item is described as "heavy", and it really is! It's very heavy and stiff and hard to hoop. I'm only using it for stitching out dielines for patterns on in-the-hoop projects. If you have a need for a truly HEAVY stabilizer, it might fit the bill for you. It's not something I will ever order again.

I like buying items like this from Amazon--I can't buy this size at local stores, and it costs less, too !! The stabiliizer is excellent for use on my home embroidery sewing machine. Excellent quality, too...
