This is my second pair. Waterproof, warm, great sole, traction in snow. I can wear them yearround. These are essential to me as I have numb feet and dropfoot. Keep my feet at a 90 degree. The solid sole and ankle support allows me better walking and driving. The downfall of the last pair was some fabric lace loops broke. After much use the boot developed some cracks in the bend area. However, I'm glad Columbia is still making this model. I'm going to buy another pair to put away. I don't need the wider width but I did remove the overly thick insole.
