This is a stamp, and it works fine; I am quite pleased with it.The internal self-inking rubber stamp mechanism "folds out" when you push down, and folds back up (against an internal ink sponge) when you let go. There is NO CAP TO REMOVE, and nothing to forget that would otherwise result in the ink supply evaporating. It works like it should, and like I would expect it to.The other nice factor is the "SCANNED" wording is somewhat compressed as far as width goes, making it easy to stamp crowded documents without covering up important text.

This "SCANNED" stamp produces a very noticeable red "SCANNED" imprint on the receipts and documents we scan into out Neat Scanner. We decided to get a stamp after my wife accidentally rescanned a pile of receipts that had previously been entered and we did not want to make that mistake again.The stamp is "self-inking" and has worked perfectly every time we used it. While body is all plastic, it is sturdy enough for daily office use.This is exactly what we needed!Highly Recommended!CFH

The Scanned II Red Self-Inking Rubber Stamp I purchased works perfectly. The only problem I've had is remembering to place the paper I'm about to stamp on a smooth flat surface, my computer keyboard is not nearly 'smooth' enough for a clean stamp, but even when I place the paper on the keyboard the word "scanned' is quite legible. So far no mechanical issues. It has produced a legible stamp every time I have used it.

I used this on the back of photos that I scanned. I intended to give the photos to others after I scanned them and stamped "Scanned" on the back. However, if the ink is not totally dry, it gets on the next photo in the stack. This might be a problem with using a stamp at all for this purpose. I use one in my office for scanned documents, and I have not problem with it. So this is more about use on photos. But if it left less ink, it might dry faster and be better for photos.

Got this as a gift, along with the Fujitsu 1500 scanner for my mom....this makes it so easy to keep track of what is scanned. The self-inking stamp, over 1+ month with major use, is still going strong. Overall VERY PLEASED!!!

Not much to say about this item except that it's a stamp that says "SCANNED" (as pictured) and it works as promised. The letters aren't too small and aren't too large. The impression is clear, easy to read, and a dark red. It self inks. Good buy.

We scan all of our receipts through our Neat Receipts machine so this is very handy to note that we have scanned each piece of paperwork. (not to mention its fun to use). Nice quality and lasts a good amount of time.
