There are two drawbacks when considering this machine.1. The pre-filters are way overpriced. They are just cheap furnace filters and cost over $158 for twelve.2. The clips that hold the pre-filter in place are so tight and oddly positioned, making it challenging to get the old filter out and placing a new filter in the unit.I am going to purchase another unit but not from this manufacturer. There are air scrubbers that have washable pre-filters. Even if they cost a little bit more money, it's worth it in the long haul. The pre-filter only lasted three days, and they only send ONE with the unit. This unit will cost more over time because you have to replace the filters often.

This is a heavy Unit…This is a VERY LOUD Unit…It will remove dust from the air, but it is not going to remove dust that has settled on surfaces.It moves a lot of air, if you ask me the air flow makes dust blow all over the house… Definitely NOT something you are going to want running while you are watching TV, in fact I have it in my bedroom when I’m in the living room, then in living room when I’m in the bedroom, 2700 sq house, and I can hear it from any room… (gives me a headache) so I turn it on when I leave the house, and off when I return… I think this is more for a construction site… If I had known how loud it was, I would not have purchased it.The pre-filters are just a standard media filter material in a slightly unusual size so you are stuck purchasing filter from them.The filters should only cost a few dollars each as they are of the same material as a furnace filter. The HEPA filter inside is a bit different and I understand the higher costs for it.Hope this helps.

I'm a general contractor and I strongly dislike attempting to clean up sheet rock dust and other constitution dust after I finish a job.I did a week long bathroom remodel and had this air scrubber running 24/7. The end result was well worth the investment. A very dirty filter and much less dust around the room than I imagined possible.I also used the zip wall system and bought the 8"duct to direct all the clean air out of the working area.I would definitely recommend this. I can't comment on someone who would use it all day every day, but for me it worked great and made for a much more professional job site

Great product, I found a water leak in my house after several severe storms. Had to pull up carpet, repair the leak and clean, dry and seal the flooring. Rental of one of these units was $300 for one day with the filters. I ran the scrubber for over 170 hours continuously during and after the repairs. Unit operated flawlessly, the powerful motor moves a lot of air and is not annoyingly loud for the volume of air it filters. The air smells clean and fresh again with no trace of any odors. I feel confidant there are no remaining harmful contaminants in the air. I am completely satisfied with this quality product and it exceeded my expectations.

We bought this to use during a huge demolition project in which 3900 sq feet were taken down to the studs, all insulation, flooring and pretty much anything else we could get our hands on was removed. We recently had a flood in our home and the restoration company had brought in this units much more expensive competitor and left them behind for us to use for awhile, after they picked them up we decided we were so impressed wth how well they worked that we needed one to buy for our upcoming much larger project, however we weren't impressed with the competitors pricing- so I found this product and couldn't be happier! It works just as well as the other one and is actually a fair bit quieter than the other ones- it's still noisy but at a more tolerable level. It's actually much less expensive to buy this unit than to rent one even for just a few weeks!!This past weekend we removed all the insulation from our ceilings. We have a relatively flat roof which we found out while removing the insulation that it had at one point been a tar and gravel roof now replaced with a membrane roof, however you can imagine the amount of dust, stones, mold and whatever else was up there since the 50's -pretty much the most disgusting insulation you've ever seen. When we were taking it down you couldn't see across the room - the air was literally black. So we we finished our job, picked up all the insulation and left the air scrubber running. 20 minutes later we returned and the air was totally clear!!! ( we still had to wear masks but the difference was incredible and saved us a ton of cleaning!) We vacuumed off the unit and opened up the hepa filter and vacuumed that off as well and were able to keep working rest of the day- without this machine the dirt and dust in the air would have lingered for many many hours!Couldn't be happier with this machine!

Bought this air scrubber to use during extensive basement renos. Help tremendously with sawdust and when sanding. A bit pricey but all worth it if you have allergies and don't want to be dusting for the rest of your life. You can also rent locally but would cost as much for several months rental and also considerthe hassle of picking up and returning it. Try to get filters at a local store for much less. If ordering from Amazon make sure to get them on time of your project especially during this covid time as machine is useless without the filters.

The scrubber is very well put together but the replacement HEPA filters are crazy expensive, double the price ($144.00 ea.) compared to other offerings in the remediation industry
