Nice but it could be better designed
I often cut up hot dogs to use as training treats for my dogs. This is the second hot dog slicer that I have tried and although it will slice a skinless wiener into bite-sized pieces, it is difficult to get the pieces out of the cutter (unlike the other model). What is needed is a "pusher" that will dislodge the bits once that have been diced, something like what is included with the FunBites Squares product.Until I find one like that I will use my dog shaped cutter most of the time and this one only occasionally as I have to poke each little piece out of the cutter with my finger one at a time. This offers no real convenience over cutting up the dog with a knife unless you are wanting something a child could use without the danger of them cutting themselves.

easy to use. only down fall is the hot dogs get stuck and have to shove them on through with your finger or other small utensil.

works
This does what its suppose to but not the cleanest cut, comes out alittle torn on the botton edge. High priced for the results. No bottom plate to the contraption so still need a cutting board for surface and have to poke the pieces out with something. Would buy a different one if getting another.

Not quite sharp enough
I agree with the previous reviewers. In theory, this is a great idea, but the plastic is not sharp enough to cut through the skin on the bottom side of the hot dog, so you end up using a knife anyway. It ends up being faster to just slice the dogs by hand.Instead of plastic, it needs a wire blade, like and egg slicer or something.

hot dog cutter
I was very disappointed with this hot dog slicer because it did not cut the hot dog all the way. When you pushed the slicer down it would cut but then you would have to push all the pieces out by hand. It was very time consuming!
