Demron Full Bodysuit Hazmat Suits - Extra Large

so far I am happy with the suit but waiting to justify the high cost. It's fun for Haloween, costume parties and scaring your kids. But I can't say if it's good at blocking radiation because I haven't used it for that yet. If and when there's an apocalypse I will update the review then. Kinda pricey if I don't get to use for something like that, but if it works for that then it will be worth the price.

Demron is a new material to protect against radiation, and as the next nuclear power plant is just 10 miles away, I thought it a good idea to get one of these suits just in case. This company makes certified first responder hazmat suits as well as tactical vests. According to the website, Demron is proven by the United States Department of Energy to be able to reduce high energy alpha and beta radiation and reduce low energy gamma radiation. When several sheets of Demron are laminated together the result is a much more powerful shield, though Demron cannot completely block all gamma radiation.I have the suit, and I was in the lucky position to be able to test it absorbance, which looks quite convincing. Although I wasn't able to do true qualitative measurements, signals were significantly reduced. It is not a comfortable wear... but once the apocalypse is here, I think I will manage.

You can buy a rain coat, an m10 Czech gas mask, and some rubber pants for about 35 dollars and get the same protection...
