Great product! If it worked for me, it'll work for you!
It worked!A 6-8 ft step ladder didn't work. Not enough height. The chandelier is up about 14 feet.an extension ladder was no good. I got height but not close enough to gain comfort to lean in and change the bulb.I thought about hiring someone (expensive) and also read about renting Ladders with beams and plywood to create an artificial landing , renting scaffolding and also a hydrolic lift. Again, very expensive.I finally came across this tool. I immediately thought it wAs an amazing invention, but started to become skeptical. I mean, this attachment is only $8. And , it also requires the giraffe pole kit , which is another $20. I thought that for $28 (free Amazon prime shipping) that it was too good to be true.I read the reviews to gain comfort and started measuring up my situation. The ceiling fan was about 14 feet off the ground, so I thought with a 6 foot pole, even on a step ladder, that it would be a rough go. I also thought about getting an extension ladder and then leaning in from either the window side or the stairs landing side. Again, not enough balance and risky. So, I finally saw a YouTube video where A guy uses this tool while standing at the top of his landing. So , he has the height and balance, and the 6 foot pole extension provides the reach to make it to The bulb. However, his lights are rounded and are facing up and have no covering or brackets over them, so the suction cup attachment that comes with the $20 kit worked for him.It took me one try to get the old bulb out. It wAs putting a new bulb in where trouble started. First , I had to maneuver the device past the chandelier brackets to get the bulb near the base. Then, tryjng to line up the bulb and base was hard. The device kept hitting the chandelier , making it sway. Also, the Turning mechanism was making the chandelier turn and twist Around its cord, without the bulb being tightened into its base. As well, the bulb fell out at one point from the gripper . It fell and shattered. So, I had to pad the floor below with pillows for the next attempt. Finally, after some patience and perseverance, I got the bulb in! I turned the light switch on, and nothing! Was it a bad bulb? No. I kept the light switch on and lightly tapped the bulb and it flickered (thank goodness!). So, I had to go back out again one final time to tighten the bulb good. The coil piece that holds the bulb needs to be open a bit so that it can go down around the base that the bulb needs to twist into. Also, the bulb should be high up inside the coil for support. It's a trial and error. Too tight and the bulb is stuck in the coil, not tight enough, and the bulb falls out.!Anyway, this product does work and it is a great price, along with the $20 starter kit.

Please upvote! Can't buy the stupid WAGIC 21316 Giraffe Sure Grip Light Bulb Changing System anymore.
Don't bother buying this if you haven't already bought the WAGIC 21316 Giraffe Sure Grip Light Bulb Changing System extension pole. You have to use this extension with the manufacturer's pole, otherwise it's useless and a waste of your money. Also the WAGIC 21316 Giraffe Sure Grip Light Bulb Changing System extension pole is not sold by Amazon anymore nor anywhere else (not even the manufacturer website), so you'll need to find another solution for changing your hard-to-reach bulbs. You can't use a different extension pole, like the one with the threads commonly found in brooms, painter's pole, etc. If you look at the product's picture, this extension piece screws into the mechanized WAGIC 21316 pole which has a special end AND the threaded part. What a waste, the manufacturer should at least sell it on their website if it can't be found anywhere else. Amazon suggests that you buy this kit with an extension pole with the threads (Mr. LongArm 6624), but if you search the reviews for that product, you won't find any mentions of "Wagic" or "Giraffe 180."I hope you found my review helpful. If so, please vote "yes" so that others will see that this kit can only be used with WAGIC 21316 Giraffe Sure Grip Light Bulb Changing System which is currently unavailable for purchase.

Missing Pieces out of packages
Thid product is very misleading. The picture and packaging make you think your getting everything in on packaging but you actually need other attachments to go with it and the two peices done even fit each other without the missing piece. Just not a good product.

Works great but smudges bulbs
The product itself works very well! I was actually surprised because at first glance it appears to be just a rubber coil. There's 2 problems I had with the unscrewing process though, 1 of which was the actual Giraffe unit's fault, so I'm only deducting 1 star. The first problem I had was when unscrewing my LED candelabra bulbs, they seemed to be coming out but really the bulb was unscrewing from its own base. That is, the LED bulb itself screws together in 2 pieces, and the Giraffe unscrewed those pieces rather than the entire bulb as a single unit. Again, not the fault of this accessory, but worth mentioning. Make sure you tighten your LED bulbs before you install them, if possible. The issue with the accessory itself is it left what appeared to be smudges on the clear plastic of the LED. Upon closer inspection, this was actually damage from the torque of the accessory. With subsequent bulbs I wrapped a piece of nylon rubber glove around the bulb first. Your mileage may vary here, as I was spinning the bulb for longer than anticipated due to the fact that I unscrewed the bulb itself accidentally. All in all, the $30 Giraffe unit this is used for is well worth the money, and this accessory works great with it.
