K9 Nature Supplements: Bladder & Kidney Support - 55 Soft Chews - Cranberry Herbal Formula for Dogs - Urinary Tract and Renal Support - Great for Senior and Spayed Pets

My Great Dane mix, nearly 14 years old, was recently diagnosed with Kidney Disease. The doctor said she is between the early and mid stages. The supplement he suggested for me didn't seem to be making a difference, so I went searching for something else. The reviews on this supplement were promising, so I decided to try it. Within three days, my dog clearly had more energy! We have ground squirrels and her favorite past-time used to be digging for them. She hadn't dug for them in a year. She also had no energy to wander our 1.5 acre property. Day three, she was out digging for squirrels! I was so excited! She's also a very quiet dog normally, but now, she barks a bit to get our attention when she wants some attention. She has a doggie door to come and go when she pleases but now she barks when she wants to go for her daily walk! The vet said her 60-day recheck showed slightly better levels.She is 98 pounds so she gets three treats a day. I need two jars a month. She loves them! You can tell they are a bit chewy, but not difficult for her at her size. If I pinch the chews, they crumble. The chews are approximately 2 cm by 1.5 cm. She still licks her paws quite often. There has not been any noticeable change in her bladder leaking. I was hoping to find a supplement to help with that. However, since this has helped so much with her energy, I will keep giving it to her.

My dachshund suffers from intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) which has left him somewhat incontinent. Since he has been taking this supplement, we have noticed he has less accidents in the house because he has a bit more of a sense of when he needs to urinate so he has time to go outside. He's never going to be 100% but I believe this is helping him. Also, he is the world's pickiest eater but he LOVES these chews and gets really excited when he hears me open the jar (he's blind also). We have a rescue dog that has a few health issues including urinary problems and he really needs to increase his bladder strength. We are also worried about preventing kidney failure due to the many problems. We have spoken with the vet about natural options because we don't like to give medications and pills due to the side effects. So, we were really happy when we came across K9 Nature Supplements' Bladder & Kidney Support. We love that it is all natural with cranberry powder and organic herbs. It helps both the kidney and urinary tract so we don't have to buy 2 separate supplements.So far the results have been great in that he seems happier and we've had no infections since we started him on them. And he really loves these chewables also. In fact, he comes right up to me when he sees me taking one out.

My pup loves these! They look like little treats and she munches them right up.I give them to my dog because she was experiencing inconsistence. Whenever she was relaxed she’d wet herself without realizing. I didn’t want to start giving her the hormones the vet gave us just because.. well if I get crazy on birth control, lol who knows what she would experience!! Also, it was gonna be expensive if we chose to go the route.I’ve started by giving her double the amount (4 a day) about a month ago.. and maybe after I finish the second jar (yes I ordered a second one!!) I will put her dosage down a little.

I love that the product includes some of the best anti-inflammatory herbs and not just for bladder and kidney support. It's also for good all around canine health. Herbs included in powdered form within these chews are : Cranberry, Marshmallow Root, Astragalus, Nettle Seed and Licorice. The base is Flaxseed Meal with a hint of Chicken, as well as other inert ingredients of which I would prefer that Glycerin and Cellulose were not included. I would also like to know what is in the "Natural Flavor" only because it is a good idea to know what you are giving your dogs as some breeds tend to have sensitivities to certain ingredients.When supplementing for an acute problem I would probably give once a day and then back off after a month to every other day.I am using mainly to treat one of my dogs (Finley) that has a tendency towards kidney infections and has a VERY frequent urge to urinate BUT am also trying on my older dogs just because I like the health benefits of these herbs for my dogs. Just to name a few benefits, Licorice and Nettle Leaf are great for the skin, great for arthritis. Marshmallow Root is good for tummy issues and upper respiratory health. Astragalus is a wonderful anti-inflammatory.I will add to this review if I see improvement with Finley and his pee problems.When I received the chews, they had a pleasant, bland odor. The expiration was dated well over a year away, so I liked that the product was fresh.The chews are ideally suited for dogs 30 lbs and up. With my smaller dogs, the chews easily crumbled so that I could mix and divide into their individual food bowls. My smaller dogs loved the chews and didn't think twice about eating them. My Pyrenees/Boxer mix (Thule) smelled the chew and could tell it must be "healthy", so she opted to wait till later. I think it is because she instinctively doesn't trust anything new. Benji in the photo could have eaten all of them if I had let him.It doesn't matter how good a supplement is if you can't get your pet to eat it. I found that all but one of my dogs would gladly enjoy these chews and what is also nice, for those dogs that won't eat them, the chews can easily be mixed into their food.The chews because of the flaxseed base crumble easily if needed, they are not solid globs.The dogs like it and I like the herbal combination and the chew consistency. It's a Win - Win.I LOVE they are MADE IN THE USA.

My 15 1/2 year old dog was experiencing some night time leaking and I decided to try cranberry before going to something more. I started on just a different cranberry supplement while I got this delivered then switched to this. She hasn't had any problems after the about a week on this. I am very pleased.

We ordered this for our 9+ year old Frenchie who began having intermittent leakage when at rest. She's been on this supplement for 15 days & are happy to say that we have seen definite improvement! Prior to ordering, we did take a urine sample to her vet as to check for infection. Because she also has liver cancer, we prefer to treat her as holistically as possible. We will continue this for her.
