Review: Rekindled My Fondness for Apple iPad - My previous iPad still operates [testimony to Apple’s amazing quality] but it is so old (2012 3rd Gen) it will only run a couple of the apps I enjoy using. I had stopped using it years ago and grew accustomed to using my iPhone and multiple Mac computers instead. However, several months back I decided to explore streaming music with a WiiM Pro and felt I needed a larger screen than my iPhone to control the WiiM and read about the music I was listening to via Qobuz. So I decided to get a new iPad but didn’t need a laptop replacement (i.e., lots of processing power), or cutting edge screen. And I wanted a “Goldilocks” size. At around $250 this 9th Gen iPad is a fantastic bargain. It doesn’t have the heft or quality feel of my 3rd Gen, which is made out of steel, but it seems well put together. The screen is only a tiny, tiny bit better but for what I do the screen is fine. It’s plenty bright and responsive. And, of course, it runs every app I choose to use flawlessly. A few attributes blow me away, however. Even with what’s now a slightly older processor (A13) it is very fast. Battery life is staggering. This iPad is so satisfying, I have switched my usage away from my phone, and even my TV’s to it. It’s fantastic as a control device for the WiiM, great for recreational web surfing, and I have been using it as a display device for Xfinity Stream to watch local TV. It’s also perfect for watching YouTube videos. It’s hard to emphasize enough what a screaming bargain this is now - mid 2013.
Review: 🍎 Excellent Quality 🍏 Value 🍎 Sharp Retina Display 🍏 User Friendly 🍎🤪🍏❤️😃😎❤️🍏 - This Apple 🍎 iPad 9th generation is very competent and does everything I want it to do. I don’t do anything really super complicated with it (mostly streaming 🎥 movies, surfing 🏄‍♂️ the net, and of course, ✍️ writing product reviews 🤪😁😜😛😆) so it’s fine for my needs. Without a case, it’s just over a pound (so not that heavy). It has fast connectivity and is intuitively, user-friendly. The 👁️ retina display touchscreen is a pretty decent size at 10.2 inches (diagonally). The touchscreen is sharp, vivid, true to color, and very responsive. Also, this iPad came with a 20W USB-C power adapter, USB-C to lightning charge cable, and 3 months free Apple TV+. The Apple TV+ is great because I have been able to watch the ⚽️ soccer/football⚽️ show, Ted Lasso, for FREE. 👍😁👍 Score!!!!! ⚽️🥅⚽️ Apple 🍏 makes excellent, quality electronics, and this handheld computer is absolutely no exception. 👍🍏😃🍎 The only things I wish were different about this iPad are the slow charging speed and the battery drains a little faster than I would like. I use the iPad while it’s charging and that slows down the charging speed. I purchased this iPad for about $200 plus tax (free shipping, on sale, and had a gift card too). I would like to buy the 10th generation iPad, but it’s just too pricey and expensive for me. This is a much more budget-friendly option. Long story short, I really like this iPad and am very happy with this purchase. Because of its excellent qualities, it’s going to be very useful to me, and I think 🤔 it will last a long time. I am impressed by it and highly recommend it (especially if money is a factor). 👍🍏🤪❤️😃🍎👍🍏😎🤔🍏👍❤️😝⭐️🩷🍎👍

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it come with the case and Apple Pencil?**
A: People love to vilify Apple but almost no tablet on the market comes with a case and keyboard or pencil, unfortunately, but that’s not always a bad thing, people who don’t need those shouldn’t have to have those added into the cost.. a $329 tablet would be most likely $500 if it included those.

**Q: Is this the lastest iPad**
A: BEWARE:
THE ONE I RECEIVED A COUPLE DAYS AGO, THE CARD INSIDE THE WHITE BOX WAS LABELED “NEW IPAD 8/10.2 (2019/2020)”, but the label pasted on the outside of the back of the box said "9th generation"

**Q: What generation is this iPad**
A: The 2021 64GB Apple 10.2-inch iPad with Wi-Fi is the 9th Generation model and the best bang for your buck iPad/Tablet on the market at only $300, period. No, it does not come with a $100 Apple Pencil (1st generation only since it is not compatible with the Gen 2 pencil at $130-$150) or it would cost at least $400, nor does it come with an Apple Smart Keyboard that would add another $50 to $200 (depending upon make, model, case, etc) on top of the very reasonable $300 price tag. If you really need one, I do not, then you can buy one separately and the rest of us can save the $100 to buy a nice case/keyboard or just save the money. If you don't know whether you need one or not, then you do not. If you do know whether you need an iPad Air or iPad Pro, then you do not need one, but if you can afford it and have no idea, then buy one, otherwise save your money and start with this model. You can always sell it and upgrade later if you find it does not fit your needs which it will not if you think this will replace your home PC tower or laptop computer. Think of this as a glorified, oversized iPhone with a giant screen and brilliant resolution for viewing pictures, surfing the web, etc, etc. This is an Apple product through and through, expensive but works great, however with Apple you are lucky if they include a charger/data cable with a wall plug to charge it. I'm on my 4th iPad (Gen1, Gen3, Gen6, Gen9) since they were introduced and have handed down the older ones as they start to need many more frequent charges, ran out of storage space, or were too slow for my needs and could no longer be upgraded to the latest iOS. They hold up very well except the batteries will eventually need constant recharging or replacing. I still need to carry a secure laptop for work, but also like to tinker with my tower PC by buying something to upgrade it every year so I can still run the latest software I need/want for my personal gaming machine, everything I do with my new iPad except make phone calls which is why I only buy the Wi-Fi models and mostly all I need an iPhone for other than a few pictures and the occasional video which I never watch again. Normally I would say buy the best you can afford, but with an iPad, just buy the best you really need.

**Q: Will i have to pay a monthly bill for this ipad? i won't be using it to call or text**
A: You do not have to pay monthly if you get the wifi version and not wifi/cellular. The Ipad works through the internet via your email address, so you can facetime and text to other apple users

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My first and only Apple device and.....I like it!
*by B***1 on August 19, 2023*

This is my first Apple device. I have always felt their products were overpriced. Now in our economy everything is overpriced. The iPad is the only Apple device that I have even considered purchasing. I have several other brand tablets/laptops but just couldn't pass this up because of the good price. After hearing people praise Apple devices over other brands, there was a lot of hype to live up to. Bottom line, it was a little underwhelming, because of the hype. Taking the device at face value though, this is an excellent device. The pros: the processor and the battery life. I've been using it for over a month. This is the entry level iPad 9th gen but the A13 bionic chip is fast and able to handle multitasking very easily. Granted I only use this device really for entertainment(games, watching videos), browsing the web, checking emails, so I don't use it all day/every day. The battery lasts me a couple of days without charging. Even after watching videos for several hours I still don't have to charge it. The bezels make holding the device easier without blocking the screen. And because of it's 4:3 aspect ratio compared to other tablets 16:10 it makes watching videos/reading a more pleasant experience. I did buy a third party pencil to use with it. It works well for taking notes, there is a audible tap when using the pencil. I don't have any cons-the gestures take some getting used to. I just prefer other brands gestures, they seem more intuitive and useful to me. The screen is nice but it's not noticeably better than any of my other devices. Again this is the entry level iPad so for the price I think this is an excellent device. It should be able to handle most things you throw at it. I recommend this product and I'm glad I bought it.
