Peel off the protective layers! When I started using them they seemed dull. Finally I realized they have a protective layer on each side. It takes a bit of dexterity, but once you peel those off, you have a beautiful gel. I use them with AlienBee photo strobes, modeling lights turned off. Not sure they would stand up to heat generated by hot lights or rapidly firing strobes. But probably perfect for LED lights and moderately timed strobes. Cannot beat the price. Good range of colors, although not designed for Roscoe-type exact color temperature correction.

The sheets come with a plastic film to protect it from scratches. It's just what I needed.

Not bad for the money. Could be a little heavier on the tint.

Changes the color of lights. Not melted yet.

I use them on my birdhouse to make them weather proof they work great

I use these to add color to outdoor landscaping lights. The material is easy to trim to size. Color does not block the amount of light traveling through it. Most cheap versions decrease the light output. Great price for the number of sheets you get.
