Fine Expectations Juniper Pine Garland, 9' by 14", Natural Looking Texture and Color of Freshly Cut Needles, Select Pine Cones & Cedar Sprigs, Designer Preferred for Holiday and Christmas Decorating

I typically buy or replace one ornamental item each Christmas to maintain appearance, yet keep it affordable. The garland I'd been using for the 5-6 foot section of angled railing still looked good, but was difficult to work with because the wire was very stiff and heavy. After reading a lot of reviews, I selected this garland due to good reviews, despite the fact it was about twice the price of some of the competing garland of similar length. It arrived quickly via Prime and in fairly good condition - one large pinecone had pieces broken but still in place, but you can turn it to the other side. After working with the garland, I thought I'd post a review. First, the garland is very pretty and quite full in appearance. It has wire in it, but it's not as stiff as some I've had in the past, so it is easier to work with.If you want plentiful and large pinecones, you'll be happy with this garland. For my taste, there are so many pinecones that they're in the way of being able to drape it in a swag or wrap it - and the pinecones are simply gigantic like nothing I've ever seen in nature. They're so large that I can't wrap the garland around my banister, as I'd hoped because the pinecones are too wide in circumference to go through the railings. I'm attempting to drape it instead, but the construction is such that I'm having a very difficult time, as when I try to hang it straight, the wire used to piece the garland is visible - it's silver. By sheer misfortune, the pinecones just happen to be placed at the worst of locations for my efforts to secure the garland to the railing. The upside is that those pinecones seem to be very securely fastened to the garland, which doesn't make their removal easy. Most of the garland is wired, but there are "greens" of a different variety that are plastic that have no flexibility, so they can stick out at awkward angles depending on where they're positioned as you drape the garland. The greenery part sticks onto a stem and I've had a few come off as I'm working to attach the garland to the railing. The good news is it can be reattached, but the bad news is that it may take me a lot of time to find the stem it came off of.Depending on your intended use, this garland is very nice, full and makes a good appearance. Despite the fullness, it's not as heavy as you would think, which is a definite positive to me - heavy garland can be difficult to get to stay in place. In future years, I plan to use this garland around a fireplace mantel, where I think it will do quite nicely, provided it survives 2-3 years of use on my short railing (5-6 foot in length). I don't think I've EVER seen pinecones this big and for the size of my project, they look oversized and a bit comically disproportionate, in my view. Most on the garland I received are 5-6 inches long and 10-11 inches in circumference at their largest point. So I do NOT recommend using it in a draped or wrapped fashion.The bottom line is that I would recommend the garland if you have use for something with oversized pinecones that are more proportionate to the area. For my foyer staircase railing, I'm afraid that no matter how much I try to like it, the pinecones look ridiculously large and the plastic parts sticking out at odd angles make this an expensive epic fail.

We get a real tree for Christmas, but didn't have the time to try to get other garlands due to the sudden nature of a party I was designated to host. I wanted more holiday decorations for the house and I must have looked at 50+ garlands on Amazon, trying to decide what to buy. After we got it out of the box and spruced it up to unflatten the leaves, etc., we put it around our staircase handle (with separately purchased green string/thread). It looked wonderful, quite full and pretty real. Even my picky parents commented on how nice it looked. I am very pleased with the purchase!

While I will always prefer "real" garland, I have had some concerns about hanging live garland on the mantle above our fireplace, so decided to go for artificial garland this year (we will be getting a real tree). We bought this garland, and some battery-operated lights to weave through it, and are very pleased...the pine cones add a more authentic look, and the garland looks great above our fireplace. I highly recommend this product as an alternative to live garland in the house.

The garland replaced our 20 year most perfect garland. They (2)) came safely packed and was easily “fluffed” out to a very nice thickness. The small pine cones are adjustable and natural looking. They were hung over our double windows on our covered front porch and looked beautiful. I think they will last many, many years.

From a distance maybe, but up close it looks fake. You don't even need to touch it to determine that it is fake. I'm keep it only because it's better than what I can find locally, but it doesn't look anything like what is pictured. I was hoping for better. Some of the pinecones were broken, and there was some shedding when I unpacked. Hopefully that will not be a problem when I put it up.

We love this garland - we have been looking for garlands to drape our front door at holiday time. The real ones dry out so quickly in our arid Colorado weather. And the "fake" ones look so fake - we couldn't bear to put these up. But the 9 foot 14 inch Juniper Pine Christmas garland is stunning - it looks freshly cut and natural - it truly mimics a freshly cut garland. We sincerely recommend this product.

I chose this garland after searching for something that looks real, but wasn't extremely expensive or pre-lit. It looks wonderful! I like the mix of textures from several evergreen "species" and the pinecones. It does not make any mess--either when first pulled from the box or after hanging for several weeks. I expect to be able to use this garland for many years.Edit: Just put it up for the second year and still really pleased. I'm actually ordering more today!

I ordered two of these Juniper Pine Christmas Garlands for our staircase bannister. They came packaged beautifully with no damage. They are as described and look realistic. Nice quality. They are weighty, but we were able to attach them with tie straps. We added our own lights. It took a little time to get them up, fluffed, and tweaked, but we are happy with them. I think they will last for many years to come, so they are worth the money.
