Tread Comfort Caprice Bullnose Carpet Stair Tread with Adhesive Padding (Single 31" Wide Tread, Brownstone) TREADS Sold Individually

We bought 12 carpet strips to spruce up a 100-year old wooden staircase in our home. They arrived a few days later. After cleaning the old wood steps, I installed the strips in about 90 minutes. While the strips are pre-glued, the manufacturer recommends using professional double-sided carpet tape as well (about $13 per roll on amazon). That proved to be the hardest part: cutting two 30-inch lengths of the tape, peeling away the paper, then laying the carpet strip down. The added tape ensures that the carpet strip remains fixed. The result was a new set of steps with carpet that appears to be professionally installed. The quality is superb. And it is easy to life the strip to add more tape when the kids tear loose a corner playing on the steps.

These are the only stair treads I could find that actually curve around the edge of the stair which is great bc our stairs are tiled and are a 90 degree angle so very sharp if someone were to fall. I read a few reviews that they don’t stick well on their own so I ordered some carpet tape and stuck them down with that extra reinforcement. I put them on about 2 weeks ago and they haven’t budged a bit.

think the product is fine and it met our needs. I gave it 4 stars only because I think the carpet could be a little ticker or a little more padding under it......there is a different feel between the flat stair part and the bull nose part. But, I would buy it again.

These treads are soft and high quality! I've had them on for almost a month. 3 people and a big dog are up and down the stairs all day. I thought I'd need 2 staples to hold it in place, but they work perfectly. The customer service is amazing, I changed my mind about the size and they made it so easy for me to do.

I absolutely love these! The color and functionality is exactly what I was looking for! Easy to install and for a great price. Great traction for my 2 large dogs running down my hardwood steps which was the main purpose for the purchase. Have only been using them for 1 week, but so far the adhesion is working perfectly!*UPDATE*It's been almost 6 months and they are still holding up wonderfully!

My stairs have the laminate wood and my dog was reluctant to go down them. Since I installed this stair tread carpeting, my dog does not even hesitate to charge down them. The treads were not difficult to put down and they seem to be holding up well. They are attractive and solved my problem and so were worth the expense.

These are just great now my dog has no trouble going up and down the stairs. I loved the hint about warming up the stairs with a hair dryer before putting these down.
