1/4-20 As Advertized
I purchased the 1/4-20 acorn nuts to use as feet on a DIY three legged table top tripod that I could adjust to have a perfectly level surface (much like a milking stool but much shorter). I measure the height of these acorn nuts to be just under 12 mm with a 1/4-20 thread depth of around 6 mm (these dimensions vary a bit between various samples that were measured). The hex portion is just over 6 mm as well. And just so you do not need to look it up the across flats is 7/16 (11 mm).
