Trail Cam Buddy Game & Trail Camera SD Card Reader – Watch Deer, Wildgame & Night Vision Cams in Real-Time on Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod – Lightning Connector w/Extender Reads SD, SDHC, Micro SD

I needed something to transfer pictures and videos from my trail camera and my regular dslr camera sd cards onto my iPad. I also wanted to dump pictures FROM my iPad and iPhone onto some type of physical memory device, both to free up space on those devices, and because something about having all of my pics stored "in the cloud" on iCloud or Google photos or what-all feels sketchy.. Did tons of research. I didn't want to spend the money right now for an external hard drive, plus that would not have helped me with reading and transferring info back and forth from my camera sd cards. This device does exactly what I wanted. When I received it, I plugged it in to my iPad and it immediately prompted to download the necessary app. When I tried to view what was on the sd card I had pulled from my game camera, it said it did not see the device. HOWEVER, when I received the device, the seller, Chris, had hand-written a message on it with his direct phone number, saying to call with any questions. I did (on a Sat. night, no less) and a few minutes later via text, he sent me the easy-to-follow information for properly formatting the sd card. I DID need to do so using a PC, so I had to dl the pics on the sd card to a laptop, re-format the sd card with the laptop, put the pics BACK on the sd card from the laptop, and then viola, when I plugged it in to my iPad, there the pics and videos were. I plan to pull all of my photos onto sd cards soon. Not sure how many sd cards I will need, but again, it seems like a good way to backup photos along with having them on Amazon or Google photos, (since deleting pics from an iPhone or iPad will delete them everywhere else as far as iCloud goes). People, if I can do this, YOU can do this! The app is a bit clunky, but not terrible. It is the same app a lot of the other devices like this use, so as far as function, they are probably all quite similar. Again, what sets this device apart is the customer support. The device is as delicate as any other plug-in, and it fits my iPad (in a Clamcase) without the extender. I have a Spigen case on my iPhone, and do need the extender for that, but it's no big deal. It would be perfect if the extender could be somehow connected to the device, too, as I am afraid I will lose it, but I will probably just stick the whole thing in a baggie or something. Again, no big deal. TL:DR Great device to read and transfer info on sd cards to and from iOS devices, with great, fast customer support.

It worked EXACTLY as described and super quick and easy! After downloading the app I plugged it into the phone and was viewing pictures from the card!!! I was able to save photos on phone and I then took a blank card and copied pictures off my phone! Unhooked from phone and plugged USB into computer and saved them to a file! GREAT PRODUCT!!!! Thank you!!

I love this! So portable and easy to view pictures from your trail cam memory card. And you can delete pictures from the card also, which you can't on some. I would definitely purchase again if needed.

My husband loved the product. He was a little worried because his was not reading all of his SIM cards but one email to the seller on Christmas Day was answered immediately and replaced within the week. What an absolutely wonderful and amazing seller. Definitely would recommend this seller to others and would buy again!!!! Also, with the new reader my husband is over the moon for this reader.

Received the trail cam viewer on Saturday and put it to work almost immediately. The correct app downloaded automatically on my iPhone and I was able to view my trail cam pictures out in the field. It is much easier than carrying around my laptop.

Doesn't work with my iPhone 5, but my iPhone 5 is 2-3 years old, so it may be a port connection issue. Chris with customer service was very communicative and is working with me to fix the issue. Connected with a friend's iPhone 6 easily.

I was extremely excited when I received my trail cam buddy . It worked perfect on my iPhone ..great product..app worked perfectly..extremely happy with my purchase.

The Amazon description made it sound like it's compatible with ALL iPads. [Here is the specific bullet point in the Amazon description: " VERSATILE TECHNOLOGY – Each trail camera SD card reader includes a lightening extender and is compatible with iPhone 5, 6, 6S, 6+, 6S+ ,7, 7+, iPads and iPods! " However, when it arrived, the instructions that were included indicated that some generations of iPad are NOT compatible ... specifically mine (on which I happen to be writing this review). Therefore, I returned it posthaste without any problem. That's the good news. THE BAD NEWS, however, is that although my return comment STRONGLY urged Amazon and/or manufacturer and/or distributor to correct the product description on the Amazon website ... apparently, neither Amazon nor the manufacturer nor the distributor feel that misleading a segment of the customer base is their problem. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!
