I noticed while watching the BBC series that I really enjoyed the score. So I bought it and no regrets. So good.

This score is very comparable to the works George Fenton has produced for BBC documentaries, with soaring orchestral themes balanced against pleasantly intimate moments. The album's styles do bounce around at times, veering even into more silly comedic statements at times, but it still makes for an impressive listen.

Neo-classical type of music, which is very harmonious and relaxing. The tunes match in a dreamy like style, and you can really set back and relax listening to the CD.

When I watched television show, I was impressed with the music. The show, I probably wouldn't watch again. The music, well, I now own it.

soul stirring!!

The BBC nature documentaries are great television with amazing imagery, but they also have wonderful music. From "Planet Earth" to "Frozen Planet", each series has been accompanied with powerful music (composed specifically for the show). With "Africa", I was once again blown away by the outstanding compositions and how perfectly the music fit the visuals on the screen.With 26 tracks totaling nearly 70 minutes of music, this soundtrack is loaded with the extraordinary music from all 6 episodes the TV series. The soundtrack was composed by Sarah Class, who is really an amazing composer and in my opinion does some of her best work here.The music in this series is every bit as awe-inspiring as the imagery. CLASS.Such a talented artist. I'm looking forward to hearing more from her. A film score perhaps... come on Hollywood!

My only concern is that the track feauturing during the sandstorm (in the sahara episode) is missing from the CD. Otherwise it's amazing.

Amazing music!

Les musiques proposées dans ce CD sont vraiment bien composées, et bien interprétées. Avec un sujet pareil, on aurait pu s'attendre à avoir des musiques dont l'ambiance est plus "africaine" mais en fait non et ce n'est pas plus mal, au contraire!C'est juste dommage que de tels artistes ne soient pas suffisamment connus en France!
