## Description

Abus Granit Detecto X Plus 8008, Motorcycle brake disc lock with Security level 19. Made in Germany, Brake disc locks are a very compact category of motorbike locks and consequently easy to transport. To increase the security during longer parking time it is recommendable to secure the motorbike to a fixed object additionally. For that products please see als the ABUS Granit X Plus U Locks. Thanks to the 3 D detection system the motorbike rider gets warned when lifting the bike into upright position and an unintended ride off with the locked bike is prevented. Operation and use: Very good protection at high theft risk. Recommended for securing valueable motorbikes. Holder and transportation: Protective bag included for easy and secure transportation in a special compartment e.g. under the seat. Technology and features: 16mm steel bolt, The bolt as well as supporting elements of the locking mechanism are made of special hardened steel. Alarm function on basis of the ABUS 3 D detection system that means, that every movement is detected. Alarm of at least 100dB. Lock can be transported in locked condition without activated detection system thanks to automatic brake disc recognition system. Different acoustic signals inform about battery, activation and alarm status. ABUS X Plus cylinder for highest protection against manipulations etc. Two keys are supplied with the lock, one LED lighted. ABUS Code Card for additional or replacement keys. Review: A THICC Lock - The alarm is rather touchy when first trying to unlock it, but after dealing with it for a solid two weeks, I have mastered unlocking it without getting sideways looks. Really beefy, and don't forget to get a cable for $6 on desertcart, I almost took off with the lock on, but thankfully it was already touching the caliper. Would buy again to increase the decibels lol

**Q: Would this fit a 2021 Kawasaki z125 or z400?**
A: Congratulations on your new bike.. I have a 2014 hayabusa with 310 mm brake rotors.. so you have similar brake rotors so I’m sure it will fit.. I originally had the abus granit detect x-plus 8077.. great lock.. but internal alarm died after 6 yrs of service.. lock still works.. the 8008 lock pin has to be manually pulled away from your rotors..takes little practice.. the 8077, as soon as you unlock the mechanics it’s spring loaded so the alarms disarms faster.. than the manual 8008. not a deal breaker.. but the alarm always goes off for a second or two.. with the 8008. Just to let you know..

**Q: Will this fit a 2015 Ducati Diavel?**
A: Safest way is to measure your brake disc. Locking pin: 16mm - 0.63"
Inside clearance (throat): 60mm - 2.36" - You need an opening larger than 16mm and not further than 60mm away from the outer edge. Regards Lockitt.com

Best disc lock ever

Works well, but too sensitive. I live in NYC and street parked my motorcycle. During a windy week, the alarm constantly went off, pissing everyone off up in the area. I finally went down and took the lock off for my and everyone else's sanity. A day later someone stole the bike. I think that if this lock was a bit less sensitive, or if I could adjust the sensitivity I would still have my motorcycle.
