Works great for removing stubborn, sewn-on tags from clothing, rugs, sheets, towels, etc.

This is an outstanding item for grooming pets. We have 2 Pekingese dogs and 3 Persian cats and they all tend to get fur knots from time to time...no matter how well we brush them. The seam ripper is the best tool to deal with this occurrence. As noted in the other review, you have to be careful when using it on your pets but the seam ripper is painless and efficient (if it is sharp).My wife has always bought these at local hobby stores but they almost never have very many in stock or the right brand. The Dritz Deluxe Seam Ripper is perfect and we were able to order a good supply to last us quite a few months. Also, whenever my wife would go to Hobby Lobby or some other store to try to find these seam rippers, she would invariably end up buying some other item (that she thought she absolutely needed and I thought was totally useless)...now we do not have to worry about this because we have enough seam rippers to last a while.I do wish that free shipping were an option from this online store given how many seam rippers we bought...still when we calculated the cost to buy the seam rippers locally at a store vs. what we paid from Amazon, shipping, and sales tax, we still came out a little better by purchasing these online.Very happy with this product and I am certain we will buy more in the future.

THis is probably the third Dritz seam ripper I've had in my long life. They work and they have lasted, so far.

We use this to cut rubber bands out of our kiddos hair. Works great, super sharp, and has a protective cover. It can also be used to undo seams so double uses!

I bought this to start a simple sewing kit for a new house we purchased. These are great to have around and work very well to take a hem out, or to unstitch something you accidentally stitched incorrectly : ) It is always a good idea to have a simple kit for quick repairs like sewing a button back on etc.

This seam ripper is sharp, precise, and comfortable to hold. The handle is ergonomic, which makes it easy to maneuver even for long projects. I’ve used cheaper ones in the past, but this one glides through stitches effortlessly without damaging fabric. A must-have for anyone who sews regularly.

This works very well. I like the fact that it has a long handle so you’re not straining your hand. It was also sharp which made removing stitches very easy.

Very disappointing, Not usable for quilting / delicate fabrics or seams as it is not sharp or pointed. Useful only for heavy duty canvas or denims.
