The cost

Bought this to use while charging in 410a with the tank upside down (the only way to do it!). Nice heavy brass tool. Working well so far and saves me a good amount of time to charge in liquid without slogging the compressor. Will probably buy a couple more for the rest of the team.

basically this helps add refrigerant in a way to were you don't have to wait for the system to adjust its slow entry but when you hit a target subcooling it usually stays there

I should have sent this back while I was within the return period. As many, many, other reviewers have noted the defect rate on these chargers out of the box is extremely high. I was one of them. I have to guess that the check-valve springs are too strong because that would not only explain nothing being able to pass through and if it does the charging is so slow it is not worth it. I have no idea how the manufacturer can claim 8x faster charging. It is totally bogus. The manufacturer sent me a replacement and unlike the first one it did allow refrigerant to pass but as mentioned it is so slow that it is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this thing. Not worth the $$$ even if you get a replacement.

We have a bunch of 410a systems we are servicing throughout our properties. Very easy and straightforward to use. We connected this to the manifold to liquid charge 410a. Works like a charm.
