Once the timer is up, will it default back to 2 minutes?** A: Once you have it set to the 2 min mark, it will automatically revert back to the 2 min setting once the countdown has occurred as long as you do not turn the unit itself off. But, if you do turn it off, it will revert back to the original zero settings. If you don't mind changing the battery occasionally, it should work just fine for your needs. All you have to do is set it and forget it as the saying goes. These timers are really simple & easy to use. They could be a little louder but you get what you pay for. I wound up ordering two boxes which is a total of 12 timers. Out of the 12, they all worked but one had an issue with the sound. You could not hear the beeping at all. But 1 out of 12 is not bad considering the price. We use them at our restaurants. We haven’t had them terribly long so I’m keeping my fingers crossed but so far so good. The only negative thing for me was the fact that the magnets are really bad. They barely stick.
