This is a completely unique piece- a vintage book in appearance, this is actually a wood box which is wood-burned and hand-decorated. The "spine" opens into a drawer- perfect for jewelry, trinkets or any other keepsakes! The front appears to be mystical Neverending Story by Michael Ende, complete with silver and gold Auryn. Its a replica of the movie prop Bastian is reading in the library. I even sculpted the edge pieces myself to be as close to the movie version as possible. The back is particularly awesome- its a gold and bronze outline of Atreyu riding Falcor, the Luck Dragon. Im extremely pleased with the spine- found a wonderful charm to go alone with the theme and This is an absolutely wonderful piece for any fan of literature, fantasy or the Neverending Story. Highly Recommend! Great Piece!
This hide-a-way The Neverending Story box is simply stunning. The details are beautiful. I'm most impressed by the Auryn. It is everything I dreamed it would look like in real life. I can't add more pictures from my phone, but there are amazing bits of detail on the spine and a mural of Bastian flying on Falcor on the back. My only complaint is that the drawer on mine is very loose and slips out easily. I'm thinking of applying some felt to help keep it in place.
