Although the traps are designed for bed bugs, we have many customer testimonials and videos showing spiders and other types of insects being trapped. Accordingly, it’s certainly possible the trap could work for carpenter ants as well. **Q: Will these work on roaches?** A: These weren't meant to prevent roaches. It states what they're used for. If you have a roach situation you'll have to do something else. **Q: Is the interior wall textured as well? (So that I could catch bed bugs already on my bed attempting to leave)** A: The interior wall (where the foot of your bed frame would be) is textured. If they could crawl out of that, since it is textured, they would not be able to get out of the outer canal which is completely smooth on all sides.
