I haven't had a chance to use it yet but the overall construction is much better than the welded cheapo I had originally. This unit comes with a rated D-shackle just like the others I've purchased for vehicle recovery. The rubber rings are a nice touch to keep the shackle from rattling around but really aren't practical for recovery operations where you'll need to remove the pin to connect a strap.This was the best price solid billet (not welded tubing) hitch mount I could find that had cross drilled holes. This allows you to mount the shakle vertically or horizontally, depending on the angle of the recovery vehicle. I'll likely replace the pin with a different unit that doesn't use a cotter pin. These tend to get lost or go flying at the most inconvenient time so a pin with an integrated lock/clip is preferred. Overall a good unit for a very reasonable price.

Real buyer of this receiver/D-ring combo. I didn't get paid nor discount to review this item. It has very nice finish and felt very sturdy and heavy duty. In addition, it is competitively priced. I am very happy with the purchase and recommend it if you needed a Reciever/D-ring to let you retrieve or tow. Fit very nicely with my black 2013 F150 SVT Raptor. Now I gotta go off-road to find someone stuck to put this item to use :-)

Very heavy duty and beefy receiver. The pin the comes with it fits through the receiver holes like a glove. No rattling around or shaking. That washers that come with it are nice. Didn't think I needed them, but realized that on the road, or off of the road, the washers help keep the shackle nice and snug against the multi mount receiver and also prevent rattling. In my opinion the only thing that could have made it better is if it can with a locking pin instead. I have to go buy one now, because I know someone is going to try to steal it cause it looks so good.

Looks good. Appears to be well made and finish is not bad. Fit tightly in my hitch receiver on my Wrangler JKUR. The isolator rings (rubber o-rings) were missing. Have not used it for a recovery yet, but it offers a 2nd point of contact along with the stock rear tow hook. Trailhead CS came through very quickly with replacement rings (2 sets and different types). Thanks Tim at Trailhead! I will do a test recovery (pull) as soon as it stops raining and have the time.

This is a very beefy unit that appears very well made. I have not had the opportunity to test it in a real world scenario yet but it fits together well and is easy to use. The really nice thing is that the shackle is fully independent and could be used as a shackle on any other tow point on your vehicle (use with care, read vehicle instructions, etc) so this is really a two in one item that's a great addition to the gear box on any 4x4 truck or SUV.

Everything mentioned in the ad is correct. It fit my factory hitch with no problems. The holes lined up perfectly with the pin and has just enough play without it being too loose. I like the options of which holes to use so I can position the loop in either direction. Solid steel with a nice smooth surface and complete coating. I'm sure with use, the coating will chip like any metal on metal product. Came with everything pictured in the add and the best part for me was this purchase was eligible for Prime shipping. For me the shipping method is a deal maker.

This a sturdy chunk of metal that should last a darn long time if not forever.I like that it can be mounted two different ways to have the shackle oriented in either a horizontal or vertical position.This is much safer to attach a tow strap to than a hitch ball.

Great for hooking up wench hook and nylon tow straps to any class 3 hitch receiver.
