Bought for an overheating roku. Tie wrapped it to the roku. No issues. It's noisy though.

Have mine set up to cool down two Crested Gecko vivariums. They are set up on thermostats for cooling and heating and work perfectly.The air flow is adjustable. Great little fans!

Not much wind. But very quiet and seems well built.

I bought the fan to circulate air in a small cabinet humidor for cigars (22"x20"x16", about 7040 cu. in., nominally rated for 300 cigars). I humidify the cabinet using trays of water-soaked florist foam on each shelf, but I was getting a variance of as much as 10 percentage points of relative humidity between hygrometers placed on the top and bottom shelves. I placed the fan on the middle shelf in the back of the cabinet. After a day or so, the discrepancy is 0-1 percentage points, and has remained that way for the week or so that I have been using the fan. Great! That said, I can see what other reviewers are saying when it comes to noise and minimal airflow. This isn't a fan that you would want in a quiet work environment, or if you needed to move a significant amount of air. It has a buzz about the volume of a quiet electric shaver, and the fan barely moved a Kleenex held in front of it. But, for my purposes of gently moving air in a closed environment where the light buzzing isn't a distraction, it was perfect.

Streaming at high bit rates creates a lot more CPU use and thus heat in streaming boxes and this device really helps with that. Set on top of a hot Roku box and blowing air downward was very effective cooling the unit and preventing crashes. But even at low speed there is noise. It's a high pitched whine and it's too annoying to be practical. Can't recommend unless your application is outside the range of hearing. Too bad. USB connection and simple switch for off, L, M, H speeds. Looks decent with rubber pads top and bottom. I don't think a drop of oil in the right spot is advisable, but maybe I'll try that since I'm probably going to discard it anyway. Can't justify returning it because it's not broken and several others mentioned the noise so I took a chance. It worked for the purpose I bought it for - cooling, but the noise tradeoff is too much.

I bought two of these and LOVE them! I set one on top of my Android streaming box to keep the heat under control, and I hung the second one between my cable modem and a second router so it can cool both at the same time. There is a switch that controls on, off and 3 or 4 speed settings, allowing for extra cooling under hotter conditions.

Good for small terarium keeps good airflow.

Lo instalé en mi Carlinkit para que no se calentara mucho, hace un poco de ruido, pero es normal, prefiero ese ruido a que el dispositivo se caliente.

Even at low speed it does make a lot of noise.At high speed it does more noise then a central AC unit. But I Install it on top of my Helix Videotron router, and wow the heat really get out. And less crash of that over heating router.
