Study Guide with Lab Manual for Jeffus' Welding: Principles and Applications, 7th

Someday I will re-read this when I'm rich and have all those welding tools I'd like to have.

Gets the job done. I needed it for a class at work.

The book itself is fine, but DO NOT RENT IT. Your class will require you to fill out pages and pages of it and turn them in. You will either have to go and make copies of each page (tedious and time consuming) or you'll rip out the pages to turn them in. If you do the latter you'll have to buy the book, and guess what? The not so badly priced book ($50 or so) when you rented it for half that jumps up to over $100 until the beginning of the next school semester, after you've already been required to return it and you have to pay the difference between the rental price and the now inflated purchase price.

If you are serious about learning how to weld and wish to do it well, then this workbook is necessary. Completing the workbook commits the knowledge in the book to memory. My instructor requires some exercises to be turned in, so buying a used workbook or planning on re-selling this is not practical.

The lab manual goes along with the text book by the same author. It is a good supplement to the text to give some practice and additional background into the welding subject matter.

This product was ordered by mistake. My son didn’t need the study guide, he needed the actual book.

I use this as my primary source of homework in my classes, and it does a very good job cementing in the lessons.

Purchased as study aid for answers to end of chapter questions. Does not provide any answers/solutions and is more for an instructor than a student.
