Works just like expected from description

Rather than trusting online help of a unnamed security supplier which lead me to order the wrong key fob for my DSC PC5010 system with RF5123 wireless receiver installed, I found the correct reference to ensure this WS4939 fob would really work. So going through the simple steps *8 <installer code> 804 41 <ESN> # # did the job. The aspects to be certain about are 1. it works at the RF frequency of your receiver 2. it uses the required ESN number size (in this case 6 digits not 8 that I got misled by incompetent online help) 3. compatibility with your security system design. I needed no such thing as programming the keys since they were already preset in my case to the needed functions depicted on the buttons.

It Works!

I read other reviews and so I tried the last four digits of my ADT account, but it didn't work. I watched some videos and found out that they often use 6321 as the installers code, and it worked! All of the other instructions were good.

Help in Programming

Arrived on time. Was a great price but you have to know how to program it. I have a 5500 model and read some write ups and youtube videos. Have programmed other wireless devices. You must have the installer code. Mine was able to be changed when I called Smith Thompson. It is not the same as the "arming" code. This I ran into a problem with the code for the unit. This had a letter...A... in the 6 digits. To get to the letters though the numbers on the keypad for this section you have to press the star key and then sequence through the corresponding number. Example, if you want the letter B, when you get to that digit, hit the star key and then press the number 1 twice...first would be an A and the second would be B. Don't forget to hold the button down for at least 2 seconds. This is to safe guard against an erroneous pressing of a button. This unit is great to have and you will arm the system a lot more than doing it though the keypad. Comes with two batteries. Slot to open key cover. There is also a small Phillips head screw on the inside.

Easy to program for use in my ADT system.

I was able to get these working in my ADT system without any great difficulty. I thought I would have to call ADT support, or pay for a service call, but not so. You can follow online instructions to integrate into your home system.

How to install:

ADT wouldn't give me my installer code, and they also said that their technician won't program a fob not bought from them. Their charge was $125 for the first 1/2 hour of service, plus at least $80- $100 for a new fob. After some trial and error I figured out that my installer code is the LAST FOUR DIGITS of my monitoring agreement account. So, follow these instructions, helpfully posted in another review:*8 (your installer code] 898 - NOTE input 898 immediately or it will trip your alarm and ADT will call you."Wireless Enrollment Mode" will displayon the wireless keyfob press any button for about 3 secThe serial number should display press * to acceptIt will display the next available slot number. Press * to accept.Press # until you exit programming. It worked like magic. HOWEVER! About 10 minutes later a cop came to my door, and said the general alarm had been tripped. I never received the call from ADT, and neither did my husband, who is the secondary call number. So that's not cool? Luckily the cop was nice about it. I need to program one more fob, and will call ADT while doing it to make sure the alarm isn't tripped. I'll update my review.

These are NOT what I ordered and NOT what is on the box, in the directions, or on Amazon.

These (two) remote key fobs are NOT what I ordered. What I got is a pair of 4 button remotes, each with a loose soft plastic panel and roman numerals on each "button." While this style may work--or may not--neither of the two I ordered has the stay, away, unlock, or panic buttons and neither has a hard plastic faceplate for the buttons to stick through. I don't care to give either to someone else and hope they could remember which numeral stood for what, even if they could be set up by the tech. The belt clip is cheap and flimsy. These will be returned as soon as possible. I was looking for additional Fobs for my ADT system and the tech said this was the brand to get. This may be the brand, but sure not the model. Interestingly, the directions, boxes, and Amazon listings are for what I wanted. I just didn't get them.

Happy to avoid ADT techs

I found information on Google to help me program these key fobs to work. I previously called ADT to set up techs to buy and install fobs. ADT techs were no shows to two telephone appointments. So I took a chance with purchasing these. The first arrived and didn’t work. I sent it back for a refund. I chanced it again and ordered 2 more. They worked! So I am very happy. Find your installer code, usually last 4 numbers on your account.

Great replacement for ADT key fob

This worked great with the advice from a previous review to simply swap out the electronic board with your old, broken remote - way better than paying ADT a couple hundred dollars to come to your house and program it with the installer code!!!
