The Reagans are back on the case in this explosive sixth season of Blue Bloods. The threat has never been greater as Frank (Tom Selleck) suspects New York City to be the next target for a terrorist attack. Meanwhile, his son Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) must track down dangerous targets of his own- serial murderers, cop killers, prison escapees – all while his brother Jamie (Will Estes) works to put the most heinous criminals behind bars, and their D.A. sister Erin (Bridget Moynahan) does everything she can to keep them there. When it comes to crime, nothing gets by this family.

The feel of the show has changed.
The Blue Bloods show has significantly changed in season 6. We own season 1-5 and watched all of them again before putting in season 6. It was a shock like ripping off a band aide to go between season 5 and 6 - it was as if we were watching a different show but with the same actors. There seemed to be changes to the writing, pacing, degree of gore, degree of emotional tension, and now there are cliff hangers with bad guys lurking out there, etc. There seemed to be less humor, less just hanging out, less encouraging each other, less happier moments, etc. To top it all off, some of the characters seemed to have back-tracked and are re-learning lessons that already learned in previous seasons. Its as if the writers forgot the journey everyone already went through. All I can say is that this season seems darker, more on edge, less happy.... and frankly its starting to lose what we loved about the show - it was that positive and intellectual side where characters are surrounded by faithful family and friends, being hero and saving someone's life, choosing to do the right things no matter how tough, and seeing the characters develop and grow into better and better people. We watch this show because it made us HAPPY - bad guys get locked up, family stays together, and you end on a smile. Please bring that happier nature back and lower the gore level down again - so people can watch it while going to bed.

By far the best show on TV. Blue Bloods is exactly the kind of show that we need more of in this country.
I am a 46 year young father of five, 3 boys, 2 girls, who unfortunately spends an awful amount of time in my bed due to my health condition. I married my high school sweetheart who I have now converted to my Blue Bloods partner. All that being said, I really want to thank everyone that is part of making such an incredible good family moral show. I really cant say enough about it, i watch the show everyday, starting with season one until I work through all the available seasons, only to start the whole run again. I truly believe Blue Bloods is the best show on tv, hands down, the best. you all deserve any and all awards that are out for the excellent cast, crew, writers, grips, set design, etc. etc. etc. I do hope that the whole crew is shared my comments, they should all know how the wonderful work they do, really does affect peoples lives in such a powerful way, especially when poor health often fills many of my days. Sunday dinners is something I raised my family on, now growing kids and my health has changed so much, but as I watch your show it brings back such memories. I just want to say blessings to all that make Blue Bloods what it is. When time permits, I will purchase all the seasons I possibly can to add to my small blue ray collection.

Blue Bloods Runs Dark
Blue Bloods has never been about cotton candy, rainbows, and unicorns, but season six of Blue Bloods made a decided turn to the dark side from the opening episode of the season “Worst Case Scenario” dealing with a potential terrorist attack on New York City. This dark trip continues with the Thomas Wilder serial killer trilogy episodes which felt to me more like something straight out of Criminal Minds than Blue Bloods. This darkness hangs over the entire season like a shadow.Even when they try to restore the usual Blue Bloods expectations as they do throughout most of the season, they just can’t get there because the serial killer is still out there. If I want to watch serial killers I can lean over and pull Criminal Minds off the shelf. That’s not to say that it’s a bad season of shows and there’s still a lot of the charm in previous seasons, but the change in some of these stories was far more abrupt for my personal taste.

Best Cop show by far
Best Cop show by far. Tom Selleck is great. Bridgett Moynihan is stunning. Combination of Family and Law Enforcement is just right

Love the house
it got better again, but there are 2 completely lame episodes. I wish it wasn't so much Frank, Danny and Erin-- the other cast members have proven they can really hold their own-- suspending disbelief over all the jams that happen to Danny can be tedious at this point, even though Wahlberg can really act- dimension could be added by focusing more on other cast members. But, I could look at that Reagen family house forever-- the home of my dreams.

You just have to love them. So many programs have not found the ...
What can I say...It is the family...the interaction...all the side trips...the characters. You just have to love them. So many programs have not found the chemistry nor the reason why people continue to watch Blue Bloods. You never go from point A to point B. Nor does it focus upon one or two characters. This program has many aspects going on simultaneously, and are woven back into a common thread or connection. This is why Blue Blood's can be viewed more than a couple of times and you still enjoy watching. All I can say is..Buy it...you will Like it.

This show is unlike any other on television today: Exceptional in every respect
Season six, like all of the previous seasons, continues to bring a dignified and realistic glimpse into the realities and hardships of maintaining grace and order in an increasingly chaotic world. The sit down at the family table is my favorite part of these segments: a great deal of wisdom and often conflicting points of view leaves the viewer with much to ponder and think about long after the show has been turned off.

Blue Bloods, Season Six
I don't get television reception so I buy the seasons of tv shows that I like and watch them in my own time. I was a little disappointed in season 6 of Blue Bloods. In previous seasons there was more humor mixed in but this was a mostly dark season with very little to laugh at with the family or characters. The actors were still very spot on with their characters but the writing was different. All in all tho, I am sure I will purchase season 7 next year when it is released.

Another good season
The sixth season focusing on the lives and work of the Regan law enforcement family is another high quality addition to this under rated series. As per usual, the acting is of a high standard from all the main cast, particularly Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg. The reliable supporting cast remains, with Steve Schirripa of the Sopranos fame being another good addition to the cast as an investigator for the DA's office. All the episodes were pretty good, but the trilogy focusing on Danny's hunt for a serial killer was definitely the standout. The show perhaps has a tendency to repeat itself a bit, but that's to be expected after more than 100 episodes. The DVD also includes lots of extras, as does every season of Blue Bloods. Not the show's best season, but still very good. Hopefully season 7 will be as good.

Season 6 - just as good as as what has gone before.
I bought this in April last year and have only just watched it. So much of it is against my personal taste. I do not like towns, I am not good with people and I cannot bear violence. There is an awful lot of all these things in the Blue Bloods series. But there is so much more as well. A large family who are the leads: several working environments providing more regular cast members and a lot of exterior scenes so that there is a cast of hundreds in each episode. The series has been running so long that of course some of the stories are similar some that have gone before but they are relevant so a virtual repeat is perfectly acceptable. So they are complex productions with several story lines in each episode and the main thing that keeps them going is that they are extremely well done. Many departments all excellent - I cannot see any weaknesses in any area. Here I would like to express my admiration for the work of Tom Selleck. He has been in the business a long time and has developed so very much as an actor that I feel it is a privilege to watch him. He plays his part with huge integrity as an honourable man but does not dominate his scenes but relates in a very respectful way with actors he is working with. Donnie Wahlberg is a worthy successor. The family eating sunday lunch together round the large dining table is a regular scene in every episode and brings a stability to some of the dreadful scenes we witness them experiencing in their working lives. Blue Bloods deserves its success because it achieves what it sets out to be very well indeed.

6 going on 7
Really delighted with the series from the start. Very lucky to have a producer such as Leonard Goldberg (very experienced and highly rated) at the helm to keep things tight and high quality. Main characters also very high standard and I think they have found a good balance between the familyand individual stories and the actual plots of action. Now in its 7th season - looking forward to it.

Here comes another great series - it's true blue
This is one of those 'Cop' series that is worthy of its longevity, and acted with fervor and skill throughout. I can only remember great acting and memorable episodes in this series - it's a gem. One of the best series of its kind ever made. Donny Wahlberg and Tom Selleck are the most memorable of the series, but the rest of the cast do their fair share of carrying this series way above so many others of this genre. Will there be a Season 7. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.
