I'm so glad I didn't listen to them! For very little money I ended up with a great wall mount for the cable box in my bedroom. It's simple, solid and easy to mount to the wall. I saw some mounts that cost six times the cost of this one and I can't imagine they worked any better. That being said, if your looking to stack all your A/V equipment on top of this mount it isn't the one for you. But for what I needed it to do it worked great and for only a ten dollar bill. In the picture you can see how well the cable box fits on this mount.
