Westminster Magnetic Dartboard - A Safe Dart Board Game - Includes 6 Darts

My 10 yo grandson loves this! Perfect for him to play with his friends. Very safe magnetic darts. Looks to be long lasting too.

This was a Christmas gift for my grandson, he love it!! He played with it the most for several days after Christmas, challenging all the family to a game. It has held up through his play so far. Overall I think it was a great purchase at a fair price, and the play works ok for a child that just wants to have fun, especially since the darts aren't sharp. I gave it a 4 star rating because the darts have to "hit" flat on the surface to stay in place. When they don't they slide down or move, but my grandson didn't care. This is not a dartboard for someone concerned about getting an accurate score related to where the dart hits/lands on the board.

We bought this for our little kids (4 & 6), after I said to one of them "you'll put your brother's eye out if you're not careful with that thing!" while they were playing with our plastic-tipped dart set. It does seem safer to have the fat end on the dart, but the primary increase in safety is that they do not seem particularly interested in playing with the magnet darts - they bounce off the board as often as the stick, which is frustrating for competitive little boys. I imagine the only alternative, though, would be to use magnets that are so strong that little children could not pry them from the board.

Finally a dartboard that wont ruin my walls!. Not everyone who plays has great aim, and I didn't want a million holes in my wall so I never purchased a dartboard until now. Im happy to say that the magntic strength is strong enough so the darts don't hit and fall on the floor. The darts feel like pretty much like regular needle darts maybe a drop heavier. Its not 100% the same but we still have great fun playing since we don't take ourselves too seriously. We use those 3M strips to mount the board so no hole in the wall for that either!!! This is a fine set for adults and children alike.

Great board, and the darts stick to the board much better than traditional darts. And I don't have to worry about someone putting an eye out. ;-)

Looks nice, but if you're more than 3 feet from the dart board, the magnets won't attached and even when they do, they spin and slide before they stick. Very frustrating!

I read the reviews and thought it would stick better...but let's face it, magnets this small just aren't made for a game like this. I'm keeping it because it costs more to send it back...but will probably use it one or two times with my grandchild before he gets tired of picking up the macnet darts from the floor.

I bought this as a birthday present for my friend, so I'm not sure how it'll be over time and use just yet. But, the board is a nice size, the darts look great, and the magnets are STRONG! I tested to make sure I wasn't giving my friend a defunct board. I didn't actually throw the darts, but tested the pull and resistance by holding them closer and farther away from it and they have a strong pull! Some of the darts didn't want to leave the board. I think she'll be happy with this and I'm confident I'm giving her a magnetic dart board that'll actually work.
