The Best Tires in Texas
These are the best tires for riding on Texas roads since there tends to be lots of debris waiting to puncture your tires. I seldom get flats thanks to these tires.

Nothing like a new pair of tires.
I have bought these tires before and have gotten a great deal of service out of them. These were slightly different than prior purchases as these tires a very light tread design. Previously the tires I bought where slick with a very light tread pattern on the corner of the sidewall. My ride is noticeably smoother and with the right pressure ride very nice. No noticeable difference in ride resistance.I always save my older ones as a spare for really long bike rides.

Good tires
Good tires for puncture resistant. Have been using gator skin tires for years and very happy with the performance.

Gatorskins Great For Flat Protection
Gatorskins are good. Like them a lot better than the Continental 5000's I had in between my Gatorskins. May be a smidge heavier, but much better flat protection. Can be hard to get on. I suggest you put them in the sun for a bit to warm them up before mounting so they are easier to work with.

Excellent Road Tires!
Excellent fit on my stock Specialized Allen road bike rims (700x25c). The installation was easy, just watch YouTube on how to install. I went out and test road for 10 miles, felt good with 90 psi front and 110 psi rear. I recommend these tires.

NOT a 27". IS a 700cc Beware the difference! (ISO 622 v ISO 630)
People should know that this listing is for 700C (i.e ISO 622) which is not compatible with older 27" tires. The listing REALLY needs to reflect this. I was heart-set on a ride tonight and found out the hard way. As or now I've quickly returned this mis-marked tires and ordered (what I hope) are the proper ones, which do specify ISO 630. Be careful. But for Goatskins in general 5 stars. I ride heavy in Phoenix and there are more 100x more thorns than raindrops. I pull them out of the tires almost every day with no issues. I do get higher thickness tubes at well but unless you hit a upright nail or somehow get a sidewall puncture these are puncture resistant as it gets and I've ridden pairs of these 10k miles before replacing them out of an abundance of caution.Other people use the goo. I had a bike shop sell me on the goo. Well maybe I'm missing something but have you every tried to intentionally deflate a Gooed tire? It understandably and very irritatingly seals off your valve! I had to Exacto knife my whole old tire to get the damn thing off.

The 28cm fit on my 23cm rims and bike.
I was reading that the science of road bike racing now shows that wider tires don’t slow done road bikes during a race. Therefore, I decided to upgrade my tires from 23cm width tires to 28cm tires. I was concerned they may not fit my road bike. The good news is they fit the 13 cm rims just fine and they fit my bike just fine.I did have give the rims a little push to get them to pass the breaks which was not a big deal. Another thing I realized when changing a flat tire is that if I need to, I could have put the rim and tire on my bike deflated and then inflated the tire after the rim passed the breaks. In any case, these 28 cm tires fit my 13cm rims and bike which was originally built for 23cm wide tires. As shown in the photos, the front and back tires are a little less than 28cm in width.

They just keep rolling
This is my 2nd pair. I cycle a lot and these have done very well for me. They are a little heavy but the trade off is a good heavy duty wear layer that rolls well. I even use this tire on my trainer and go back and forth between riding on the streets and on the trainer when the weather gets bad.
