Product Description New album BONES has already achieved critical acclaim overseas, with Q Magazine and Kerrang! each giving it four stars and the latter writing that the album sees the band "giving themselves the best shot possible of taking on all comers and winning." BONES and its title track were also nominated for "Best Album" and "Best Single" as part of this year's 2012 Kerrang! Awards."We've written something that I feel happy describing as 'brave,'" says Young Guns frontman Gustav Wood, "and it will challenge a lot of people's preconceptions about what sort of band we are. It's an ambitious record, and we have the ambition to match the sound."Written over a number of months in places ranging from Thailand to Spain to a shed in the band's hometown of High Wycombe, UK, BONES marks Young Guns' transition from a band packed with potential to bonafide contenders for the title of Britain's best. It's a stirring album full of contradictions it speaks of strength and vulnerability, friendship and loss, energetic youth and heavy-hearted experience that proudly displays Wood, John Taylor (guitar), Fraser Taylor (guitar), Simon Mitchell (bass) and Ben Jolliffe (drums)'s skyscraping vision and style. Review "Reminiscent of the Gaslight Anthem and Lucero, matching gritty rock melodies with a soaring pop sensibility. It surges with an epic quality that lends a triumphal classic rock-like aura..." --RCRD LBL- August 14, 2012...Soaring yet muscular modern rock with enough bang to shake listeners to their bones... --Revolver-October 2,2012Best album of the year nomination --Kerrang!- August 2012

Outstanding new blood from the UK
Just picked up this album a couple days ago along with a pair of others; they are still waiting to be listened to, owing exclusively to how outstanding this one is. Bones is a great single; ironically enough I had never heard it on the local rock radio station until after I bought it. The opening track is outstanding and really gives the listener a taste of the range there guys have melodically. While it's not startlingly "new" or groundbreaking stuff, it's particularly well put together and that's what really matters. Fans of Tremonti, newer 30 Seconds to Mars or older Anberlin will enjoy.Sidebar: Hymn For All I've Lost is probably one of, if not THE best "interlude" style songs of the past decade. It's as long as it needs to be and is absolutely haunting. As a lead-in to You Are Not it's flawless. Well done guys. Now I have to get your first album too...

An Amazing, Rocking Album You Won't Regret Buying!
"Bones" by Young Guns is a fantastic album all the way around. From the first track to the last, you'll enjoy the rocking sound, captivating voice and melodies this album has in store for you. I bought this album, loved it, waited years to hear more from them and now (2015) they have another album to enjoy."Bones" is where it all started and you'll absolutely rock out to this and love every minute of it. A highly underrated and overlooked band that will hopefully be given the spotlight very soon because they have definitely earned it.

Pretty Decent
For being a band that's been around for a few years, I give them props for breaking it into the American music scene. They're headlining for Seether on (Young Guns') first US tour, and I think they have some improving to do as far as their music, but they've pretty much hit the nail on the head. They're talented. There are a few filler songs, and it's obvious which ones they are. But overall, you won't be disappointed. They're pretty good.

Finally, something new and good
I love rock, having been in high school in the early 2000's I really enjoy that sound. I was unable to find anything the past few months that was new and good but this is a great album. I love the variation between the songs. Some are slow, some faster paced, and it shows the band has some real talent. I checked it out on Spotify first and was pleasantly surprised that I liked all the songs.

Great live and in studio
Picked this CD up after seeing Young Guns on their current tour with 10 Years (just ended March of 2013). Would never had bought the CD without seeing them live and I am so glad I did purchase it. They put on a great show with high energy! They carried that energy with them when they recorded this album. It is an around great album that you can let play from start to finish. Pick up the CD so you can sign along next time they are on tour in the states you won't be disappointed!

Not bad, but not great
There is some good music on this CD, but most of it sounds pretty much the same, with a few exceptions. Some great guitar and bass work, really good vocals. My main complaint is that whoever mixed this CD did not do well with the percussion. It is WAY to 'in your face' on most songs, to the point of being really irritating.

This will always be one of my favorite albums. 'Bones' the title song will continue to be a classic. All of the tracks are wonderful and great to listen to while on a long drive to work to get you amped for the work day.
