Perfection! Exactly what I was looking for!!
I'm so so pleased with this purchase! I've tried some hand lettering workshops and was looking for a kit that would give me everything I needed to continue my interest - this is it! As always, it arrived on time and with everything beautifully intact. This is an extremely affordable buy with all that it includes. It's jammed pack with all the supplies you need (pens, pencil, eraser, etc.) and I especially loved the extra touches like a mini chalkboard, chalkboard pen, planning notebook, extra paper...and a GREAT hand lettering guide! The guide is simple and has wonderful tips. The creativity and care put into this kit is phenomenal and I would recommend this purchase to anyone looking for a place to start or continue their growth in hand lettering. This would be a special gift for a friend or a gift to treat yo' self!

Products better than expected
This is definitely a good beginner’s kit and even good if you’re more advanced than a beginner. The products are better than I had expected. I’ve always wanted a Micron pen but never got around to purchasing one. The 05 tip is great for lettering. The chalk marker writes well and is easy to clean. The chalkboard is extra cute, and I would add it to my stockpile of things to use for special events. The little notebook has grided paper which is my favorite type of note paper. Last but not least, the paint and brush for watercolor lettering are easy to use. The paint comes off the brush nicely and works well on the white stock paper provided with the kit. This kit lets you find out what kind of lettering you prefer and inspires a hand lettering adventure!

Very cheap set
I thought I’d spend a little extra on a quality calligraphy set but was very disappointed with this product. First, the chalkboard was in pieces when it arrived. Not due to shipping but due to how poorly made it is. Then, everything is very small! This product is definitely not worth the money.

Good Beginner’s Kit
I’ve been itching to do something creative and calligraphy & hand lettering are calling my name. This kit came with way more stuff than I expected. The directions are clear. I’ve been having fun practicing. The only thing I wish is that the practice grid paper book was bigger. Other than that, I love this. Would be a great gift

Perfect for simple, beautiful projects!
I absolutely LOVED getting this kit in the mail and all of the projects I have done with it. As someone who is new to lettering and calligraphy, I was overwhelmed at all of the products out there. This kit gives you everything you need at an affordable price. This includes water colors, lettering utensils including pens and chalk, step by step instructions and sketchbook, and even an ADORABLE little chalk board to do your first lettering project on! My favorite thing I have been able to make are watercolor projects with lettered quotes on them! 10/10 Would recommend to anyone interested in lettering/ calligraphy or anyone looking for a fun new and relaxing hobby!

Cute Hand Lettering Kit that is Great for Beginners and Beyond
First, this kit is packaged very cute and would make a great gift! However I bought it for myself so I got to enjoy opening the box.Second, the variety of materials provided in the kikit make it great for beginners and for more advanced hand lettering. It has everything a beginner needs to start learning the art of hand lettering; pencil, sharpener, eraser, and a small sketch book. The guidebook provides examples of several different styles of lettering, with the entire alphabet, and gives you suggestions of how to lay out a quote on your paper. Once you have the basics down, you can move in yo using the micron pen, sharpie, and watercolors for your projects. The kit also comes with a small pad of heavy duty paper for the pens and watercolors. My favorite, however, was the small chalkboard and chalk pen.

Kind of a hodgepodge mess
So, this is one of those product reviews for which I kinda sort of feel bad about writing, but in the end, I don't feel like this is a great product. I bought this kit as a total noob to hand lettering, so my opinions are a reflection of my experience as a first-timer attempting to learn the basics. If this describes you - beware, here be dragons. Or something. The kit overall feels a bit haphazard and disorganized to be advertised as a good choice for beginners. There is very little literature included - the 4-page booklet jumps right into terminology that is not easily understood by purchasers not already in-the-know when it comes to lettering projects (Assign a shape to a word? What?), and the font cards included simply show various fonts to be copied to the included booklet or blank cardstock. Tracing paper, practice sheets, or instructions on how to best utilize the included graph paper in the booklet to learn proper spacing/sizing would have been helpful--but I ended up going all McGyver and scrounging some parchment paper to trace the letters in order to get a feel for them. Doable, but having to work up my own practice sheets was vaguely annoying. (Side note: the faux calligraphy font included provided no capital letter examples. As a bit of a grammar-fanatic, this troubled me to a probably-not-normal level. Attempting hand-lettered Thank You cards feels a bit tacky when you're not 100% sure how to capitalize the recipient's name--because you have to, right, lest you be judged as having the writing skills of a third grader). There were also a few things included in the kit which were unexplained in the literature. What was I supposed to do with a Sharpie? I wondered. Is this a bonus gift? What do I do with it? I mean, the assumption would be to letter with it--but for which mediums is it ideal over another of the included implements? Zero mention of lettering with Sharpies was made in anything included, so it seemed like an odd addition.Likewise, the chalk marker was cool and all, but required a little Googling to figure out how to erase it (and then subsequent feelings of embarrassment were experienced as one realizes that--despite the name--it does not, in fact, erase just like chalk**).Another off-putting realization was that while the booklet offered the handy tip of using a pencil sharpener to keep actual chalk sharp for lettering, the included pencil sharpener was, in fact, too small to sharpen the chalk provided. This seemed like a bit of a sloppy oversight. The watercolor paints were another thing that felt just thrown in - what I know of their use now, I learned from YouTube. So, the good: The materials included were of good quality, which is pretty much the only reason I ended up not returning the kit (well, that and a side of laziness). I like the micron pen, and use it a lot now that I've gotten confident in my lettering thanks to other instruction sources--and the paints and most other included items are useful as well. I'm not 100% sure they're worth the price-tag of this kit, really, but my hatred of going to the post office to return anything is no small thing. I was fine with the price approximation being close enough. The bad: There are much more useful books and kits for learning hand lettering out there. In retrospect, it would have been a better idea to purchase just the items that would be most useful in the learning process--a book with detailed instructions, practice sheets and exercises, a micron pen, a pencil, and a good quality eraser. Also a lot of scratch paper, because it's going to take a bit of practice to produce anything worth using quality paper for. The chalkboard and arrived-broken-even-after-an-exchange chalk seemed superfluous, and the watercolors--while nice--aren't a must-have when you're first figuring things out, especially given the total lack of instruction on their use. This kit would be much improved by better quality instructions, some practice sheets, and a lot less fluff.**In case you were wondering: erasing chalk paint pens is possible with a little alcohol and a cotton swab, and/or a Mr. Clean eraser. You're welcome.

I love this kit
I love this kit, but I am frustrated that all of the chalk came broken. I also think that the guide that comes with it could be a little more robust. I'm not saying it needs to be book-length, but it would be nice if the fonts contained number examples as well, and maybe if the tips for writing in chalk/using watercolor were a little more robust
