QX View 4020R CURVED MIND 40" UHD (3840x2160) Monitor, Flicker Free, AMD Free Sync, DP, HDMI 2.0, MHL, PIP/PBP, 4:4:4

I believe I was sent a defective monitor and I hope that they all don't suffer from these problems that I will list below.1. While hooked up to a Mac Desktop via HDMI 1, the screen will glitch, go blank, and become unresponsive. The remote will no longer work, so you can't switch SOURCE to HDMI 2 or go to the menu. The menu joystick/toggle also has no effect either.2. After being in sleep mode, the monitor will not wake itself up when you move the computer's mouse or turn on a gaming console.I've tried different HDMI cables and hard resetting the monitor, but the problem is only getting worse.Everything people say about the backlighting, corner shade, and halo effect is true. It's there and you will notice it when not watching video.

First things first,It's a big, beautiful curved screen with plenty of HDMI inputs. Installation was quite easy and the screen is light enough to mount to a VESA monitor arm with only one person.The bad..Backlight unformity is absolutely abysmal with a very pronounced pattern visible at any light level;/ \\ /Even after calibration with a rather elderly eye1 calibrator, colors are washed out compared to a QNIX QX27109LED or my reference NEC PA2711WUPDATE AFTER A WEEK OF OWNERSHIP:The pixel response times and ghosting on this screen are utterly abysmal, making it useful only for watching <30fps video content. If you want a big screen for gaming this will make your eyes bleed.There appears to be confusion as to whether this is a freesync monitor when it is apparently not fully supported. The AMD driver sees it as a freesync monitor however, so this is confusing. I don't really know what to look for with freesync however there is visible ghosting when moving windows around the screen. I have not yet attempted overdriving or any other power user options on this screen.If you *NEED* a curved 4k monitor, this is decent but I'd wait until a better selection is available on the market, the price is very good which will make it an attractive budget option.

Great monitor. My monitor came with no stuck pixels, slight BLB. OC to 73hz on DP connection. Upgraded from Asus predator.

This is a solid monitor.I'm running it on a Macbook Pro 15" Retina through the DP connection and it's great. No stuck pixels. I bought a mount with it as well so I could get it lower on my desk, as it can get high. Slight fading at the edges, but the curved screen makes this monitor more usable. Great value. It's like 2 27" monitors in one.
