These are a high-end, well made Mexican blankets. The blankets are made with care in Mexico out of soft acrylic materials. The Mexican Blankets or Serapes are large. They measure approximately sixty inches by eighty-four inches or five feet by seven feet. The Mexican Serape Blankets come in assorted vibrant colors. Every blanket is unique and as such come in a randomly assigned color and pattern. All Mexican Blankets have the traditional striped pattern with a fringe along the end. Mexican Blankets are as vibrant in their history as they are in color. Most commonly known as a Serape but also known as, Sarapes, Zarapes or Saltillos. Serapes have been around for hundreds of years. They originated in the Saltillo region as a garment worn around the shoulders by men. Today Serapes are seen much more as a versatile blanket. They make excellent bed throws adding fantastic color to any room. Put them on any furniture and immediately flare to the room. At approximately 2.3 pounds the are a nice mid-weight blanket. Mexican Blankets are as versatile outside as they are inside. Whether it's a day at the beach or an outdoor concert, these Mexican Blankets are sure to brighten up any occasion.

Great for decor not for actual use.
It has nice colors and is a good throw size, but it is extremely thin and more for looks than function. Its thinner than a Mexican Falsa Blanket and more expensive, but the same size. Buy a Mexican Falsa Blanket and you'll get better functionality of an actual blanket you can use at the park, beach, festivals, concerts, car, dorm......this one is nice but it belongs on the back of the couch as a decor piece, or as a table cloth.Tl:DR get a Mexican Falsa Blanket over this, better blanket cheaper price. This is good as decor only.

Made from Man Made TOXIC ACRYLIC fabric
This "blanket" is very colorful. However....when you think of an AUTHENTIC MEXICAN BLANKET #1 you don't even think it would be made with manmade fabric and #2 you think of some thickness to it.This really couldn't even classify as a blanket,, Think more Tablecloth material.. AND even WORSE it is .Made of Acrylic!!!.According to Body Ecoloy dot com Acrylic is #2 in the top 6 Toxic fabrics.. Acrylic fabrics are polycrylonitriles and may cause cancer, according to the EPAWOW!!! So we won't be using this next to our skin!!! Maybe as just a decoration or a Tablecloth.I washed it in cold water and it didn't bleed.. Came out as colorful as it went in.

I love sarape blankets
I love sarape blankets! Bright, beautiful, bold, comfortable, versatile. I'm not sure why the seller chose to photograph the item without the all too important fringe on each end. Great for a lightweight bed cover, decorative throw for the sofa, or a snuggly blanket when there is a chill in the air.
