Book of good
This language audiobook is actually thorough. I actually like the way it teaches you the language. My problem is the Amazon app. It just flashes up the subtitles so fast that you keep having to go back. Also it would be nice if you were able to copy the subtitle text.

Beware! Only 51 pages for $20!!!
I give it only 3 stars because I am appalled I paid almost 20 dollars for this 51 page booklet. I can see that it would be a great little book for someone traveling to Romania that needs the pronouciation guide and basic conversation like Where is bathroom? How do I get to...? etc. But all those can most likely be found online. I was so excited to get this for my sons going to Romania for 2 weeks but expected more for 20 !

Inadequate
You will not "learn Romanian" from this book. Fifty-one pages of large font; it has room only for a pronunciation guide and some phrases.

After checking out the preview, I could not bring myself to spend money on it...
While I was hoping that this would be a helpful resource to add to my arsenal of tools for learning Romanian, one look at the free preview suggests that would not. I noted various errors in the pronunciation guide, which seems to be a really bad place to have so many errors. Among my resources is a Romanian tutor, who also has a great handle on the English language too. I trust her 100% when it comes to learning Romanian accurately, and there are things in the preview that go against her teaching, which I know to be good. For instance, the book indicates that the dipthong "ce" would be pronounced like "cha-" in the English word "chat." That is incorrect! It would more closely be related to the "cha-" in the English word "change."ce ---> "cha-" as in "change"ci ---> "chee-" as in "cheese"ge ---> "ja-" as in "jade"gi ---> "jee-" as in "jeep"che ---> "ka-" as in "kale"chi ---> "kee-" as in "keen"ghe ---> "ga-" as in "gate"ghi ---> "gee-" as in "geese"

but is an excellent introduction to a Romance language
This is just a short book with enough to start you off. Printed in large letters, with pronunciation clearly written in. I won't make you fluent, but is an excellent introduction to a Romance language.

Too little depth
Given the range of vocabulary and elementary phrases that could have been included, this felt extremely slight. I can't see this being of much use to anyone but a visitor that plans to spend more than a weekend.

Nothing more than a small phrasebook
This is not what is described. It is a small phrasebook - nothing more. There is no explanation of the language whatsoever. You may as well buy a dictionary.I could make this book in a couple hours using google translate. You will not learn Romanian using this book, nevermind in 7 days.

Good
The book contains good explanations on how to pronounce the words correctly. This should provide you with the basics in learning the language.

Disappointed
Was very excited to buy this. But it's a just a flimsy pocket book with some numbers and greetings in that I could have learnt from Google translate. Worth 8 quid at most
