The Best Architectural Scale
Has many scales on it, large ranges, and easy to read. If you need a scale for architectural drawings, or making scaled models, this is the way to go. Also good for any model railroader making scaled layouts as well. As they it has 1/4"=1' and 1/8"=1', perfect for O-Scale and HO-Scale.

Just as expected -- good rule!
Okay, a triangle rule, such as this can be a real help when drawing out architectural plans (I'm no pro, but have done many times, for our needs, over the years) and, this one doesn't disappoint. I read most/all reviews before purchasing and am not unhappy, in any way, with it. Accurate, clear, large-enough markings to use well -- no "oops" in the making of this product, where one might feel like it's an inferior product.

I should have known better...
I was looking for a scale ruler to do some measurements for my yard. I thought one of these triangular rulers from Staedtler would do the trick. However I did not know there is an "Architect" and an "Engineer's" scale. So do yourself a favor and make sure the scale you are trying to measure is correct for the ruler scale you buy. Otherwise this is a amazing quality instrument.

Four Stars
If you are a heavy user the ink can fade away but other than that it works.

No 1/16 scale :-(
Lesson learned. Read the description carefully and don't make assumptions. There is a 16 scale, but NO 1/16 scale. Of course, 1/16 scale is what I need.

if you read blueprints and don't have one of these...
As a blues reader there comes the odd time when the print lets you down and there is nothing else to do but get your info by scaling. That's what this tool is for and it never lets you down. Trying to interpret 3/4 scale by using a measuring tape is mind boggling, to say the least. Break out your architect's rule and it becomes easy. tj

Nice
This is Staedtler, so of course it's nice. It's not 12 inches long. It's 12 3/4 inches long. Seller needs to get themselves a measuring tape. Maybe they should buy some Staedtler measuring tools. It's not metal, but some kind of nice feeling soft material. It is labelled #4 type plastic. Overall nice ruler.

Good product but can be repacked after use , so packaging should be in that way that we can repack it to reuse because these type of things should be kept in safe place
