Lalita Sahasranama

Priceless! Informative, and Great Reference
This book is a gem! Every nama of the Sri Lalitha Sahasranama is explained in a manner that is enlightening to the novice, and delightful to those who are more familiar with its meanings and usage. Sri V Ravi does a fantastic job explaining some rather difficult concepts in a lucid fashion, without digressing. After finishing this book, the reader will have a sense of the breadth of the names in this Sahasranama, as well as its implications for the followers of Sri Vidya. This devotional prayer is not only recited by the followers of Sri Vidya, but by many Hindus of other traditions and background - all of whom will find this in-depth look useful, but not overwhelming. I plan to keep my copy, and refer back to it, as I become more proficient in reciting the Sri Lalitha Sahasranama. Thank you again Sri V Ravi!

The most comprehensive book on the nature of creation you ...
The most comprehensive book on the nature of creation you will ever read. V Ravi has made a point of truly unraveling this ancient Sanskrit text and presenting the complexity of the language. It'll take me years to grasp fully any of it. If you read one Hindu text and only one Hindu text, this is the one!!!

Must be read by spiritual seekers! Layout needs fixes.
When I read this on iPad, then layout is sometimes messed up. Lines are sometimes mixed and not in correct order.

Hidden agenda
Love it! But again why did you put Goddess Lalitambika at lower level than shiva is some Namas after knowing that she transcends the shiva? She is not vimarsha only. She is Para Bramh. You did a great job with vishnu sahasranama saying he is the Supreme but when it came to Lalitambika you still created the distinction that shiva was supreme which is not the reality.

Lalitha Sahasranama A Comprehensive Treatise : Book Review
Lalitha Sahasranama is like Vedas. It describes the Brahman in different forms and the author has made an excellent attempt to interpret each nama with its hidden meaning.Lalithambika has been beautifully described, her form, her ornaments, her feet, her walking, her eyes, her fore head, her qualities, her nature. Every nama is to be enjoyed. The Author used simple language to explain meaning of each word, which is an integral part while understanding sacred hidden meaning. This book also elaborately explains the origin of Lalitha Sahasranama, Panchadasi Mantra, Sodasi Mantra, Purva Bhag, Introduction to Dhyana Verses, Phalasruthi or Utter Bhag and thus should be considered to be a great scripture to possess for learning all about Lalitha Amma and for considerable spiritual advancement.Self-realization, Kundalini, Meditation are also widely explained in this Sahasranama Treatise. At the end of this Sahasranama reading, I'm able to visualize her total form and learnt a lot about her.Initially, I missed the Picture of Lalithambika on the cover page. After finishing reading the book, I realized that the author might have left it blank for us to visualize her total form and by deep meditation to see her through our third eye.. What a great idea !!I would recommend this book to all of us at various stages of spiritual development and this is a must have treasure.Great gift for our beloved ones in New Year as she is everything and she can give what ever we pray for.

amazing compilation by Sri Ravi
a most detailed analysis of all names in this composition. Ravi references several upanishads and the gita to enrich ones understanding on the purport of each nama. A herculean task indeed.

DELETED index, bibliography, uttara bhaga and notes on transliteration in revisited edition
i usually don't write review but reads all reviews...(jokes...not all, mostly all).this is not about the content of the book but quality and publication. i purchased this from pothi and you can see with attach photograph the publishers deleted some part (40 or may be 42 ) pages from revised edition (could be author permission). the index, bibliography, uttara bhaga and notes on transliteration. this is not good and sequences of pages are interchange in my book(only 3 pages).apart from all things print quality is decent and i have all pages in book(thanks god).
