The SP1 has every option I was looking for in an action camera, LCD screen, WIFI, interchangeable battery, and being waterproof without a case. Being waterproof without a case was very important as the case affects the audio recording level and the convenience of not having to worry about waterproofing or not on an adventure is very nice, just strap it on and go!The SP1 is larger and heavier than a GoPro without the waterproof case, but I would never use an action camera without water and dust protection and when you add this protection to the GoPro the size and weight become very close between the two cameras.The SP1 has all of the features you would expect in an action camera, time lapse, car mode, burst mode, 3 fields of view for video and snapshot recording (narrow, medium and wide), 5mp (4:3), 10mp (16:9) and 14mp (4:3) stills, white balance settings, motion detection for starting video recording, loop recording (car mode).I have only discovered one flaw in the firmware, when taking stills in 10mp, which is my preferred resolution because of the 16:9 format the pictures are taken 4:3 (sensor size) and then scrunched down instead of being cropped to 16:9, but I have discovered, if when you switch from video to still mode, if you immediatley go into menu mode and back right out then snap stills the pictures are cropped properly to 16:9 and not scrunched, so the camera is capable of doing it correctly, there is just a bug in the firmware. There are no issues in video mode or with the 5mp and 10mp stills. I have contacted Kodak (jkiltd) with this bug and am hoping for a firmware update to correct this issue.The camera is very well made and rugged and takes awesome videos and stills and handles different lighting conditions with color tones and saturation always looking great.The camera comes with many mounts that work very well, though I have converted and use primarily Gopro mounts, because of availablity and there are so many options.I am not knocking GoPro with this review, as I think the GoPro Hero 4 Silver is an awesome camera with great specs, and they are the camera that every other camera is compared to (which is a great honor), but at half the cost for the SP1 and the fact it is waterproof always, the SP1 is an awesome well configured action camera that beats everything in this price range. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great camera for the money *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2015* We bought this camera for an Alaskan high adventure Boy Scout canoeing trip this month. We mounted it on the front of the canoe with the handlebar mounting bracket that comes with the kit. It took amazingly sharp pictures and had no trouble with water the day we flipped our canoe. The battery life was about 2 days of on and off shots. We took along a back up battery for the recharge. The camera seems to be very well built and perfect for our application. Purchased the recommended micro SD card from Amazon as well. Very pleased with the camera, attachments and quality. For the money it is hands down a better purchase than the Go Pro in my opinion. There is no FAQ or information anywhere on what compatibility, hoping to get some information from you to use this camera on my Galaxy S6.I like this camera and want to keep it, I left comment and question on Amazon as most of sellers who care about the product do respond to Amazon questions and comments but not so far from Kodak. If I don't hear back from you in reasonable time then I will return this camera.If you think loosing one customer is not going to hurt then you are in wrong direction, companies who care about customers has only succeeded.
