Simple Connect Essex TV Stand, 48-Inch

Sturdy, good-looking tv stand holds our new 46" flat screen perfectly. Ordering this piece was a "shot in the dark" since there weren't many reviews yet posted about it - but we are very, very pleased. Solid, and a nice mahogany-ish color, was relatively easy to put together (but recommend at least two people). Shelving easily holds our Uverse box, an Apple TV, and an assortment of DVD's. Placement of the holes in the back make running the cords accessible from the top or bottom shelves.It's a heavy piece (about 90 lbs). and the packaging was very thick cardboard with styrofoam inserts. All the nuts, screws, etc., were provided. A few light scratches were easily touched up with a furniture marking pen - no biggie. Looks great, and very glad we bought it.

A fine looking piece of furniture. For the price it was a good buy. It holds all the stereo system fine, you should leave doors open most of the time since it gets warm with them closed. Have to move it buy picking it up on the bottom. Brackets that hold top on need to be made out of metal not plastic.

I was uncertain if this would be a good buy considering there were no prior reviews and I could not see the item in person. Well, it arrived yesterday and we put it together this morning. It is a beautiful addition to our living room, well built, sturdy, and very simple to assemble. My partner calls it "ingenious." The instructions are very easy to follow and there are no tools needed......we LOVE this stand !!!!

Most do-it-yourself furniture really LOOKS like you did it yourself. Not the case here. This TV stand took all of 45 minutes to assemble, with NO tools, and without really needing to look at the directions. And yet it truly looks like a piece of high-end wood furniture. I love it and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Didn't particularly care for the fact there are no screws to hold it together. You need to make sure where you want it as moving it is not super easy because of the snap together pieces. Looks nice though.

The weak link is the top. Do not assemble and try to lift it by the top as the top will loosen. Very attractive stand that looks like quality furniture. The assembly instructions should be specific about the direction to install the center divider. Be sure the door magnet holes on the center divider are positioned to the front of the stand.
