One of the best mouse pads for metal.
Now i am a gamer first off. I am also a computer builder and it enthusiast. I know that three areas can make or break a computer user.. one is the mouse pad. Most people dont even clean their's. WEll I have something now that i dont have to worry about to much anymore. This mouse pad. is about or close to 11 inches long.. sideways.. and about 8 inches top to bottom. It has a nice small holding pad under the bottom so it wont move on your desk or you can set this on a older mouse pad as well and no matter what you get a flat surface. This is important for us who have slightly unlevel desks. The top covering is almost like teflon but more like a nonstick coating. And my mouse glides over it easily.I have an 8200dpi mouse which means it moves really fast .. on the screen. for gaming. I now have that set much lower even in windows. As far as being on target with this pad helping out it is one very nice thing after all these years of basicly using cloth. The appearance is sharp nice neat lines and metal seams to be .040 aerospace grade aluminum which is some pretty tough stuff. A Great buy and it should have been much much more. I am also and Aerospace Tech graduate which lets me know about the metal a bit. Would i buy this again.. YES! Would i buy it for a GIFT YES!! this is a can not miss. What i also like about this is you can use it in a chair as it makes a great platform. Airfox did a very good job on this.

Best gaming mouse pad I've tried
I rarely take the time to write reviews, but I've finally found my perfect gaming mat, so I felt compelled. After the first one arrived and I was able to try it out, I came back on here and purchased FIVE more because they are so inexpensive and I never want to run out of replacements. Both the design AND the quality of manufacturing are top notch, which is hard to find these days, especially for a product that is so reasonably priced. Some of the other mats I've used were either too slick or two rough, but this mat has a surface that is very smooth, with just a tiny bit of texture added to assist with precision without slowing you down. For reference, the Airfox resin surface is MUCH smoother than the "control" side of the double-sided Microsoft mats, and ALMOST as smooth as the "speed" side of the Mircrosoft (which I find just a bit too smooth). I think Airfox has really zeroed in on the sweet spot with this surface texture, plus the sensor on my laser gaming mouse tracks flawlessly across it, unlike some of the other surfaces I've tried. Also, the non-slip rubber on the bottom really keeps this pad in place. It simply doesn't budge. The sturdiness from its aluminum backing allows it to be used away from your desk without it flexing during use, such as on a bed or on a lap-desk in a recliner, etc. Many "hard" mouse mats aren't metal and are actually very flexible synthetics, yet they still cost more than this one, probably solely because of their brand name. My old Microsoft Razer Exactmat from around 2009 is aluminum, but the replacement Razer Vespula I bought in 2014 was a poor replacement. I just checked, and at the time of this writing, the Vespula costs more than TWICE what this Airfox costs, which is bonkers to me since the Vespula feels so cheaply made.Highest recommendation!

Now own 2 of these and recommend them
I have purchased 2 of these now. The first I bought for home and I liked it so much that I have now purchased a second one for my desk at work.I am a software engineer and I also play games on my desktop at home. I have a standard Logitech laser mouse at work, and a Microsoft Bluetrack Explorer mouse at home. In either case, the mousepad always provides a large, smooth and responsive surface for using the mouse.PROS:1. It is larger than your standard foam/cloth mousepad which makes it optimal for tracking across 2+ widescreen desktop monitors.2. It is of a very good build quality making it sturdy and able to withstand heavy use without any signs of degradation (where typically the cloth top layer would peel, fray, and stain/fade and the foam would often crumble on traditional mouse pads).3. It is thin metal with slightly textured surface on the top providing optimal surface for mouse tracking, while remaining thin enough that it is almost like you're just using the desk surface. A thin, textured rubber grip surface on the bottom (like the textured covering on a ping-pong paddle) keeps the pad locked in-place from sliding around.CONS:These are nitpicks and none of them are really negatives to me but for completeness and since the info may be valuable to some people I will mention them:1. It is larger than standard traditional mousepads in terms of surface area, so those with limited space.to the side of their keyboard may take issue with it. However it is so thin that one could easily place part of it under their keyboard and not feel lopsided, or twist the entire pad 90 degrees (the top-to-bottom surface area is about the same dimensions as traditional square foam mousepad).2. Its a metal-based, hard surfaced mousepad. As a result there is not much padding to make the mouse movement silenced the way it is on soft foam mousepads.

Impressive mouse pad
I've had this mouse pad for about a week now and have been pretty impressed with the performance. It's been really smooth and my mouse glides easily. I've only had 2 slight instances were there was a little drag while sliding my mouse i'm not sure if it was my mouses fault or the muse pad but it wasn't to bad just a little rough. I am very happy with this purchase since I use a laptop and I don't had a desk I usually use a book and mouse pad combo but with this I can minus the book now yay.

So far, a great mouse pad.
I am very happy and pleased with this mouse pad. Perfect moue control. Easy to clean if needed and thus far totally non-slip. This has to be the best pad I've owned thus far. I am hoping that it's durable and lasts. The only thing I don't like about the pad is the border across the top. That space could have been used for a larger space and not for a logo.
