This works even better than it looks!
I debated over buying this for nearly two weeks, in part due to the lack of reviews. I wanted a decent mount for using a Sony Bloggie mounted on a Honda Gl1800 Gold Wing. Originally, my intent was to document the gages due to an issue with the engine and tranny. That was resolved before I got the mount.Prior to this purchase, I bought this for $17.95:ARKON CMP220 8.5 Inch Flexible Windshield and Dash Mount. My mini cam corder bounced around, even in a HD conversion van. This mount is absolutely fantastic! Rock solid and offers so many positions, it has exceeded my expectations. My cam corder now sits between the fairing and the vent on the F4-+4" customs windshield. I put this mount on the windshield and tethered both to the dash via a D-ring and some velcro. I ran out of memory on the first 30 minute test yesterday at 1080, then replayed the footage on the HD-TV. Using the speakers (not the headset) for back ground sound, I am extremely pleased with the results.I may end up buying a few more for the house, cars and gifts.I don't give many five star ratings, but this is one excellent product and I do not hesitate to do so.

Best mount I have found at terrific price
I am so disappointed I only bought one. Should have bought six. Have used it to mount my Nikon pocket cam and it is stable. I screwed up the mount for my radar detector, but the flex cope works perfectly. It also works well with my iPhone for nav or just a convenient place to keep the phone. I will be testing it in an auto cross with the camera soon, will post video.Additional: It worked great for autocross with the pocket Nikon, but I now use the Go Pro Hero 3 for that job. I use the flexcope to hold my Iphone which I use to navigate via Google Maps and my Escort radar detector with live coverage. Man what a setup. Unfortunately, the little plastic disk that holds the suction cup on to the retractor mechanism just crumbled to pieces. I am sure this is a fluke, so I am ordering a new one. Hope the manufacture sees this and sends me another one for my other car.

Strong!
I mounted a Flip video camara inside the canopy of a small aircraft using this mount. Just before landing we ran into a large bird that caused the aircraft to shake so bad after we landed we had to shut the airplane down. I forgot all about my video camara and was shocked to see this mount stayed in place wiith such a severe vibration. I love that I can use this mount with a variety of camaras I own and it's easy to adjust to hold devices in different positions. Excellent value for sure.

Great Phone Mount
Best, strongest, most reliable universal mount ever! I use it for my Droid. Since I have an Otterbox case, most mounts either covered buttons or held the phone awkwardly. The suction cup for windshield application is second to none. I live in Nebraska where weather changes in an instant. It hasn't loosened, moved, or even wore in the last 18 months its been there.I loved this product so much I bought one for family, who has an iPhone with defender case, both phones sit nicely in the fully adjustable mount.I strongly recommend this universal mount. Its one of the best all the way around!!!

Great product. Loved it.
I had this thing placed on the outside fairing of my motorcycle (3) all toghter, holding on Flip HD cameras doing 90+ on the highway and in the twisties. They held great, little to no vibration from the mount itself, but more from the plastic fairing. I will buy more, thats for sure, I need to do a tripop kinda mount to get the entire motorcycle from infront of the headlight (3-4 feet infront of headlight look back at bike) for awesome shots.

Chinese.
I guess if you like Chinese food and Chinese goods then this is the product for you!to begin with it came with some sort of glue dripping out of one of the parts which didn't help it's case because a quick toughness test (attached it to a desk and shook it with a go pro attached) proved it's faulty quality. The part that was oozing the adhesive dis connected and fell off of said table dislodging another part. So after removing all super glued parts, cleaning with a wire brush and re connecting with some JB weld, i tested it again. While the welding adhesive still cured i tested it and it was perfectly fine. I was using this on a jetski so this is a warning. DO NOT USE OUT OF THE BOX. if you buy it and have it, re glue the connections. I used it on the jet ski and it was great other then the glue situation. On a second note it looked like the plastic was super dry and fragile.

Falls apart after 6 months
Not really suprised about a chinese made product failing. The small dashcam that was mounted on it probably weighs about 8 ounce but was too much for the mount screw at the base of the mount. The glued in threaded metal bolt(?) just fell out. I'm going to try an epoxy or superglue and see what happens. It's a shame really, the features on the unit are actually pretty well thought out, except for the only place that matters, the place where the camera attaches at itself. Too bad. I would be hesitant to attach any expensive or large camera/camcorder equipment other than a GoPro to this mount for any length of time. But the GoPro has a better mount on it's own anyway.
