**Q: Is this firesafe? Waterproof?**
A: Definitely not waterproof as mine just went through Hurticane Irma and all my paper $ is wet And I would expect that it is not fire rated at all being just a steel box. It would definitely heat up and smolder or ignite the paper Within. Holds about $45,000 in twenties haha

**Q: Does this lock using hardened bolts that slide into place like a quality safe would have, or does it have a more simple locking mechanism?**
A: It has two large hardened bolts. Love this safe! Constructed very well.

**Q: Can you clarify what the interior dimensions are?**
A: The inside dimensions are: 13"Long x 6-3/4"Wide x 4-1/2"Deep. The lock mechanism is 3-3/8" x 4-3/4" and protrudes 1-3/8" from the door down into the safe when closed.

Mine took about two weeks to receive. Problem was it's only 1/2 the size as it's 15.375" tall but only 8.25" wide and 5" deep. The actual interior size of the one I received was 13"x7"x 5" Amazon is attempting to correct this in the next 6 hrs. We will see.. BTW It works great and the workmanship is very good...Just too small.
